Joe Louis is my favorite but Tyson is close enough so I have to make it two. This content is protected Agility: Kind of slow of foot. He needed more agility even though he made it work for him and used other things to win. He wasn't bad but if there is anything you can nit-pick from a fighter that was perfect in just about everything else...from balance, accuracy, vast arsenal/weapons, killer instinct, most patient fighter I've ever seen, etc...I have to nit-pick one. I can deal with the chin part. He was only knocked out once in his prime and that was from a long sustained beating of right-hands from a solid puncher in Max Schmeling. This content is protected MINDSET. He was no Evander Holyfield.
Golota..........a god damn psycho. For sure, one of the strangest this sport has seen. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Mayweather - Brittle hands and unwilling to open up/take risks to score the KO later in his career Bradley - Size, finishing ability Bute - Defense (at times), stamina, lack of effective jab Bad Chad - We saw it Saturday - too passive at times Mosley - Defense, jab
Abraham - giving away the first 4 to 6 rounds. Jones jr. - refusing to retire, while he should have done that 6 years ago.
Mosley - Being black in cali (If he was Mexican..he'll have a crazy fan base) DLH - Being DLH PBF - Sexually obusing his "0" JMM/Calzaghe/Tito - The early round knock down syndrome Tyson - Insanity Bad Chad/Powell - That sticky icky Hearns - Being a bad ass with a weak chin Duran/Ivan calderon - Hes a short son of a ***** R. Guerrero - No killer instinct at all Litzau - Not being able to hold his hands anywhere close to his face Cintron - Being a ***** / boxing's first soccer player...those over dramatic cry babies Victor Ortiz - A "vicious" coward Martinez - Being a pretty ******* with skills Pavlik - Beer, being a redneck, not having a nutritionist, beer, etc. Hopkins - Does he have any? Collazo/Funeka - Judges...those dirty *******s Zab - Shower doors Toney - The jump rope Angulo - Wanting a million dollars Margarito - Where the **** did those wraps come from???
Yuriorkis Gamboa- Late start in the pros, lack of defense, and still waiting for him to step up his competition. Chad Dawson- Not enough offense, lack of fire and intensity, to calm for his own good. I did not like how he reacted to that loss and all his bs excuses. Zab Judah- inconsistent and lack of dedication (hopefull he;s fo real about this come back??). Also lack of stamina. Floyd Mayweather Jr.- Balls, offense, comboinations, and not backing up his claims of gretness ( although i think he could beat any current welterweight with Pacquiao being the only one Im unsure of).
not sure if anyone named my boys yet but my top 3 all time are: micky ward-not enough...skill roberto duran-fat, lazy, didn't always push himself, bad against movers roy jones-so damn good no one would fight him
Good picks. I was rewatching a prime Shane and he did have defense but for the most part like RJJ, he relied too much on his atleticism and not enough on proper technique to avoid shots. That and even when he does use the jab he doesn't put much commitment into it plus he also paws with it to look for bigger shots.
