They beat them all except for 86-89 Tyson.

If they fought 15 times, the best version of each against the other, the over-under on Witherspoon victories would be 1.5.

I think the real question is whether or not they would endorse Zubaz.

Were you watching heavyweight boxing in the 80's? As the poster above said, Tucker, Bruno, Smith, Da Truth, Witherspoon, and Tubbs were hardly consitant fighters.

I disagree, Vitlai has good mental focus. Both K bros would at the very least be alpha bet champions in the 80's.

The Klitschkos would have trouble with any skilled fighter who brings the fight to them. Tucker, Bruno, Witherspoon and Tubbs would give them both hell and yes, I watched heavyweight boxing in the 80's, not on youtube.

I disagree with your analysis of the 80s contenders.

-In 1986, Witherspoon was overweight, laboring against Bruno in slow motion and getting blown out in one round by Bonecrusher. He would be off the map by the time Wlad and Vitali break out in this theoretical situation.

-Tubbs is a fat technician with no threatening power. If he were around today Vitali and Wlad would get no credit for beating him..which they most likely would.

-Bruno spent most of the 80s struggling to even reach the top 10, being carefully fed faded fringe guys and getting stopped everytime he remotely stepped up against other contenders. He gives everybody hell but somehow screws it up before the final bell. At any rate doubtful he would meet Wlad or Vitali until the end of the decade when there's more to gain.

-Now Pinklon Thomas was a top dog at this time but 86 would be the beginning of the end for him. If Berbick can upset decision him at this time, Vitali and Wlad will probably beat him as well. He was a mess going into the Tyson fight.

-Tucker would be the most interesting challenge, he'd be the most game and this path WOULD surely cross the brothers if they were coming up in the 80s. I can see him maybe beating one but losing to the other before disappearing with his personal problems.

I honestly think the red hot McCline that Wlad beat is better than most of these guys.

I do think they would get upset at some point, its in the cards ....lol Vitali could get cut by Spinks or hurt his shoulder. Wlad might get shockingly stopped by an unranked fighter in a head scrather. But overall, they would rebound and probably be successful. Probably claiming all of the alphabet belts at some point . However, the methodical Wlad and Vitali would not be as well recieved as Tyson..the scene would still be crying for a savior.

    Go for it....as if I'd give a **** :patsch

My 'ducking' remark was pretty simple really, WALDO ducked Lewis in the same way Slappy Joe ducked everyone at 168 back in the day, by winning the bull****, meaningless WBO strap and clinging onto it for dear life.

Feel free to mock that all you like, but it's the truth. Historically WBO champs at HW don't get a sniff of the 'real' titles. I still remember Hide, Damiani, Mercer, Bentt etc etc. WALDO knew this so he did the Slappy Joe move and kept going for that bull**** belt rather than take the real route and go for Lewis - instead he sent his big brother to do the job, saw what happened and stayed in the background - and for good ****ing reason too, Lewis would have absolutely obliterated him, as you well know :deal

Fighting Weight, why can't you call Vitali and Wladimir by their proper names?

Good, I too watched boxing in the 80's long before the Internet was invented.

Tucker was not very aggressive. Neither was Tubbs. Bruno had some psychological issues, and Witherpsoon depending on his mood was either in shape or not.

From a Physical standpoint this group had talent. From a dedication standpoint, not so much.

I do think Witherpsoon is a very under rated fighter. Good enough to make my top 25 of all time.

Because they have not earned his respect, unlike Haye, who's conduct in and outside the ring warrant ATG speculation.
