My bad for not thinking of Muniz and Hedge. Also could add Fernando Cabanela, Adolph Pruitt, Jorge Ahumada and Ruben Navarro.

Also think Young Stribling, Gil Turner and Pedro Montanez deserve a shout.

Jesus Pimentel huh'... That's a pretty obscure fighter to make such a list.

    Cool seeing him mentioned regardless.

Top contender but got his shot when probably past his best. Best win he had was against Mimoun Ben Ali in a real war. For me doesn't really belong in that top 10, almost like he's been picked out the hat cos of his ko percentage. I think Ben Ali, despite the loss deserves a higher rating. He was perennial contender at fly and bantam for well over 10 years.

Lots of good suggestions here... which just goes to show, that if the guys at B.N. had taken this question seriously, they would have had little trouble coming up with 10 names, that actually deserve to be mentioned in this context!

    Hector Thompson.

Struck Duran when challenging for the Lightweight title and then met Cervantes when trying for the Jnr Welterweight crown.

Thompson did well against both men but fell short against arguably the two best fighters both divisions produced.

Ace Hudkins impoverished my father and my uncle, when they put all their
dough on Ruby Goldstein, unbeaten neighberhhod sensation to ko the Nebraskan Wildcat in the 1920s..After Goldstein dropped Hudkins on his back in the first rd.,the PRE Lamotta, got up and kod the " new Benny
Leonard", .Many years later when I was a boy my father was still in shock..
    Tough ******* that Ace Hudkins...

Griffo, exactly what I thought when I made my original list. How many guys with more than one title shot had the misfortune of meeting an all time great each time. Thompson is sooooo underated today. Also, continually expanding on the 'bridesmaid' question. Can't forget Billy Petrolle.
