Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao @ 147

Post one of floyd's fights where he ran like a *****.

 

Sure....but the tests were not completely known until they began negotiations. When they knew ALL the admended requirements for Olympic style testing for one boxing match negotiations began and PAC had his own requests.

Smaller men stop bigger men all the time in this sport and it's been happening since the birth of boxing. And NO...I would have NEVER expected Floyd to act in this way...EVER! I never thought his EGO would allow him to indirectly give his opponent props b/c that's never what Floyd has been about.

Sosa, Bonds and McGuire have nothing to do with boxing or Manny and there are no similarities. MLB for years was KNOWN to accept and push roids on their players and there was SOLID evidence and proof to support the allegations against them. This is NOT the case with Floyd and Manny.

 

I won't call Floyd a coward...but I do think he ducked Manny for whatever reason. And I don't think Floyd has DUCKED anyone in the past even though names like Shane, Marg and Cotto come up. Fact is Floyd had OTHER reasonable options to choose from and he made his decisions that have worked out well for him regarding his opponents. But There aren't ANY other options for Floyd like the one where he faces Manny. That is a HUGE question that everyone seems to want to know more about.​

 

Hey....Floyd is busy enough for Floyd and for whom he's faced thus far.....but so was Josh for the most part. When people attack Floyd his DEFENSE is incredible for most who are trying to catch Floyd with one or two shots and Floyd evades and re-sets accordingly. But his "TOE TO TOE" actions is very limited. Floyd coutners when he knows the coutner is there and he's at little risk to be countered himself. Floyd is a master at laying traps and creating opportunities with his movement.

Floyd isn't invincible man.....not even Close. He's a great boxer with a lot of talent but he's no where near invincible. No one is. I gurantee if the fight is on the inside and Manny somehow controls distance Floyd is in trouble. For Floyd to win he's got to control distance b/c He's NOT gonna be able to control the pace. PAC is! So hopefully Floyd's "TWO FISTS" get the opportunity to prove what his mouth has been producing. We'll see.

 

Manny has been hit early on in his career with one fisted fighters. And Manny will continue to get hit simply b/c PAC AGREES to take risks while producing a HIGH volume of punches.

But PAC taking punishment doesn't mean he loses! PAC like EM when they got hit it fired them up and they fight better! But PAC is hard to hit especially these days. PAC is a very complete fighter...he's well schooled and may not be as intelligent as Floyd as a boxer but PAC is by far more offensivley gifted and dangerous than Floyd. It's a fight that should be very interesting and competitve.

 

Calm down there furit cake. Calling me a "groupie" isn't a good look for someone like you. Simply b/c you seemingly have a major hard on for anything and everything "MONEY MAY". Get a grip son! Keep it respectful and you'll get it in return.

However....you can get it since you want to bump your gums and remove all doubt you know very little if anything about boxing. Knowing "FLOYD MONEY MAYWEATHER" doens't give you a pass about knowing the sweet science.

IF floyd is looking to build the fight and the "HATE" in hopes to create a bigger financial gain then that's great. I hope you're right b/c that means Floyd is gonna man up and take the fight. And I wish him luck against PAC. They both will need a little of that in order to win if and when they face each other.

But with all that said...the "HATE" that seems to boil your blood is the exact element that Floyd is creating for himself! And if that is the case then all this talk and questions about Floyd being scared or Ducking PAC should all be taken with a grain of salt.

Afterall.....in your opinion this is exactly what Floyd wanted. But you can't expect for the VAST MAJORITY to take your stance on this b/c Floyd is mudding the waters so a clear picture is impossible to make out. It's "smoke and mirrors" with Floyd and for anyone who KNOWS Floyd....that's NOT typical.

Floyd is pretty much predictable in how he is as a fighter and how he is outside the ring. And up until the notion of facing Manny...he's been very predictable in how he goes about MAKING fights.

ACting in such a way NO ONE has ever seen from Floyd before creates a lot of specualtion and major questions about WHY floyd is acting out in a completely foriegn way. And when it looks, acts, sounds and walks like a ****IN DUCK.....Common sense would have anyone with the IQ of a flea to suggest it's a ****in DUCK!

All that other bull**** about PAC not moving his head, being a sucker for a straight right, not being able to cut off the ring, not being able to cope with a jab, and Manny being an easy target...:roll:

IF PAC is as easy to hit and a sucker for a jab and all that then Floyd looks even more like a ***** b/c he's acting SCARED by not taking the fight and requesting specail tests for this "CAKE WALK" to happen.atsch You're logic is some real garbage...even a ****** would smack you and your momma in hopes it would generate some activity in your pea sized brain!

Definately agree but I still don't like how either side has handled this. They have both been doing some irrational things through out the process of both negotiations. I can only think it's the biz.

I've said in many other post that they are fire and Ice in the ring. That's what make the fight so great. They are polar opposites in everything you stated but I think to a point that they are pretty much the pinnicle of how good a man can be as an offensive or defensive fighter. With that said. Offense puts fans in the stands but defense wins championships LOL.

 

You know.......I actually agree wit that in most cases. And if that quote holds true in this sport we'll see Floyd beating PAC. And I'm not at all counting that out. Floyd is one of two guys at WW or below who I think can beat Manny....Paul Williams being the other. I just have a feeling PAC is gonna pull off the upset in a fight that Floyd gains a whole new fan based b/c Floyd is gonna be in a reall fight....win, lose or draw!:good

 

Very solid possibility. As for the quote, It sounds good but thier are many instances where it isn't true. Just threw it in there because it's a good sounding cliche :yep. This will be a hell of a fight and i think you are right about much respect givin to floyd win lose or draw because he is definately gonna be in a dangerous fight with his opposite/equal. If floyd is losing I'm pretty sure he will be willing to go all out and save that 0. He carries it around like his ID. So he definately will have some new fans win, lose or draw. I think the hard core fans of both fighters will have a new type of respect for the other's character. Hopefully we get to witness this history.
