..John Breen needs to keep McCoskey away from southpaws because he can't handle them. Nigel Wright gave Paul a load of trouble and Lauri's trainer must have studied that fight and turned Lauri southpaw for most of his fight with McCloskey..now if a "manufactured southpaw " can give Paul a tough fight, what would a world class lefty do to him..

Jonny I offen wonder why Peters didnt go after Lindsay when Hayemaker lost there contract and were letting there fighters move on. As he would of been a fight away from European title fight. If he went to Peters by now he could of been in the mix for World title fights by now. Sadly for him he has gone stale and backwards under Maloney a real shame.

lads im ****in fed up with all the irish lads fighin shite opponents all the time, duddy at least stepped up, he got beat, but he tried, mccloskey is ranked 10 by ring, i dont think he deserves to be there at all, his best win is what? Lauri? he needs to fight a real opponent, rees wuda done just fine, recent belt holder and all that, as for lee? he is meant to be a middleweight contender, yet continuously fights bums. Im gettin a bit sick of it tbf,

    +1

You can add the Hylands and Andy Murray to that list.

We need more like Willie Casey, Michael McSweeney and that lad fighting in Oz.

I share your pain Sugar but here is the thing. Lee and Manny been saying they just can't get the fights because none of the top 10 will fight them.
Same problem for all of Brian Peters lads I think. That is why I think it wouldn't be a bad thing for Byrne to stay state side with Gary Shaw or GBP and get some meaningful fights. a 50 / 50 split between our lads here and in the sates is a nice balance I reckon. MAybe Lee can fight Macklin now (if it is true about Barker pulling out.)

Lee seems to find it very hard to get opponents but you have to give it to him credit he always says he'll fight any1 and on the thing with macklin and Roach not being there i got to take my hat off to Manny steward he flew over for Lees fight with thiam in Limerick in the middle of Miguel Cottos training camp for the Foreman fight and i was talking to him at the fight and i asked him and he said that he would be flying back first thing in the morning! fair play to the man at least he is dedicated! i think it was unfair what roach did to macklin this is his biggest fight yet and he wont be there while manny steward took time out of his schedule to come over for lees fight which was less significant that what macklins is!
