The young tyson, e.g against tucker would and could certainly keep that head mopvement up for the 12 rounds.
Mikes head movement also was far more scientific than Joe's! Whilsrt Joes could be effective it was like an automaton and couldbe very predcitable, as witnessed by the number of times he simply rolled on to Foremans hooks and uppercuts. mike's head movement at it best was far less predictable. unlike Joe he used a slip as well as rolling to evade punches! this is why i go for mike

The 1996 version of Tyson looked formidable against Bruno, but a supposedly over the hill Holyfield (people were concerned about Holyfield getting seriously injured by Tyson) kicked the living crap out of Tyson later in the year.

 

I could have added Botha as well since Tyson had a few problems with him

wow this is a bit of a stretch. First of all Tyson didn't look better in 96. Just because he got Bruno out of there sooner, doesn't mean he looked better. He was a lot more active in there looking for the KO, but he was also barreling in and leaving himself open constantly. 96' Tyson was little more then a very hard hitting head-hunter.

Tyson by the time he fought Bruno in 89' was still good but you could tell his skills were already starting to fade. He was really never the same after the Spinks fight. He had fired Kevin Rooney and his old management team after that.

 

wow! a young george against a young mike is a tough call. i can see scenarios that work either way.

Tyson markedly eased up on his head movement over the second half of the Tucker fight, and often walked in just standing straight up.

He did the same after only a round or two against Pinklon Thomas, and walked straight into some combos by Thomas as a result.

He dispensed with his head movement almost entirely against Berbick less than a minute into the fight.

There was no point in Tyson's career where he had the same discipline or consistency that Frazier had at his peak.
