I doubt this is true. From what I've read, GBP called Pascal's promoter after the Dawson fight but HBO has make it clear they wanna have a Pascal - Bute fight. From what as been reported, GYM and Interbox have not even met yet to talk about the fight. No way they already made Hopkins an offer.
BHOP won't fight in Canada with Canadians judges behind Canadian crowd ,if they fight it would be in Vegas.
BHop fights to the level of his competition - so don't use his last fight with Roy to judge how he'll fight against Pascal. If motiviated - BHop will come to fight and will more than likely win. For Pascal - if he's serious about "Coming to America" to take over - this would be a good way to get your name out to the mainstream. BHop is a Boxing Legend - so beating him would only help Pascal gain American Stardom. Isn't this what most Boxers wish for? If the fight is made - it's not going to be a good look for Pascal. Hopkins by UD and his legacy continues to grow.
This is generally the kind of decision a young fighter makes before their career gets completely derailed.
Are you serious!!! Hopkins couldn't fight at a pensioners pace against and absolutely shot to **** Roy Jones without having to feign injury in order to get a breather.
Pascal got tired from the 6th on, he simply had a dissapointed Dawson in front of him because he couldn't hit him and took care of business. Hopkins gets into your head, forces you to fight his fight and Pascal opens too much, so Hopkins counters are going to land. Hopkins gets tired I know, but in a "duel" of tired guys I'll pick Hopkins.
