I was thinking about this fight last night. I'm sure a lot of people think Lara is not yet on Cotto's level, I do think Cotto would beat him but I think Lara could definitely give Cotto some big problems.

I could see Lara giving Cotto problems, but thats not much to say nowadays. Good fight though.

Don't be fooled the Cuban fighters are ready now!
They have the experience already, throw him in there w/Cotto
    Lets see what happens?

But lets stop calling them prospects.

No, not ready for Cotto yet.
Cotto is one of the best fighters of this generation, some people are writting him off because his loss to Pac,but he lost to the best p4p so no shame on that.
it could be interesting to watch, and lara has a chance, but too much of a risk at this point

lara is very accurate and hits harder then his record suggests, definitely harder then margo, and he is also a very good boxer, it ceases to amaze me how a country with so few people can have so many great fighters, if they had been allowed to fight professionals instead of getting banned, boxing history would be so different and have to be rewritten

Cotto needs this Chavez J.r fight to get back on track. People are writing him off...this is an example of that. I know hes not the same, but hes not done for. Lara would give him some problems maybe, but Cotto will win no doubt about it.

Lara could take Foreman on next, that would be a good fight for him if you think he's ready.

Thats not necessarily true! If they were allowed to turn pro then do you think these guys would have 300 amateur fights and develop into what they've become?

Cuba had developed world's champs since the beginning of last century, keep it in mind.
