OK, what I think you're trying to say here is that Pac's first win over Morales doesn't mean much because he had lost 5 of his last 7 bouts.

First of all, at that time, how could he have lost 5 of his last 7 when Eric's record was 48-3 when they met in the second fight?

And you do realize that of those three losses, 2 were very close fights against Barrera, and the other was against Raheem, which was horrible match making by Top Rank?

Jesus, you people act like Morales had been KO'd in his last 6 fights before the 2nd Pac fight. Fact is, Morales was still close to the top of his game, Pacquiao just happened to end his career in that 6th round of their second fight.

Pac haters' reactions to Pac - Morales 2 during the fight:

    Rounds 1-5:
"See, that Pacquiao is a one-dimensional fighter." "He don't move his head." "He throws wild punches." "Morales is too good for him, and will probably knock him out this time!"

    Rounds 6-11:
"Morales is old and shot, and has been in too many wars." "This win don't mean ****."

    1. Barrera - Pac was 4-1 underdog. Barrera's on the roll, then Bang!!! Pac annihilates him. 29 yr old Barrera was Prime!! Dont believe the haters.

    2. DLH- Pac was 3-1 underdog. Pac moves up 3 weight classes then annihilates DLH. Shot or not, DLH was never been dominated like that!! Amazing Pac performance!! Almost perfect!!!

    3. Pac-EM 2 ... Pac needs revenge. EM just lost to Raheem but EM was never been close to getting Koed by anybody. Pac To KO EM was Legendary achievement!!

    4. Pac-Sasakul... 19 yr Old and very Raw skilled Pac getting a KO win against a very skilled Lineal champ was a Great Win.

    5. Pac-Cotto... Going toe to toe against a Murderer Puncher requires a very Big Cajones. Floyd dunks Cotto all his life then Pac Just annihilates a Great puncher like that.

    6. Pac- Hatton .. Pac just made the top 10 KO reel of all timel!!! That's a total School time for Hatton. Spectacular!!!

    7. Pac-Ledwaba .. The fight that introduced Pac to the US mainstream and the whole world. 2 weeks Preparation..Total Domination!!!

    8. Pac-JMM 1 & 2, Pac was robbed the 1st fight, 2nd was Close but a clear win. It was here at 8th pace coz Pac struggled at times with JMM's counter punching style. Very entertaining fight!!

    9. Pac-EM 3, Pac's spectacular 3 rounder, fighting EM even when he has a Fever!! That's a Monster Pac Performance.

    10. Pac-Diaz, 1st fight at Lightweight. Pac was favored to win. But that was a Virtuoso Performance. The KO was spectacular against a Known Granite chinned Diaz!!

Marcelo, I agree with most of your comments, but the ODLH win cant rate as Pac's second best win. Going into the fight I thought Pac would be destroyed. How could he possibly jump that many weights? Etc. But that was a shell of a ODLH.

It was a spectacular upset and a great performance, but it wasnt ODLH in there that night.

Agree with you though over Barrera. To call Barrera shot at that point is ridiculous.

Before the fight DLH-Cotto was the hot match-up!!! Cotto would have been favored to win against DLH. Now look what Pac did to Cotto?? Same Domination as with DLH. Stop the excuses!!! Pac=DLH was a Great win!!! Excuses were always in the end!!

That was not DLH, That was not the real Barrera!! That was not the real Morales!! That was the Ghost of hatton!!! anymore excuses!!!!???

I have to say I thought it was trolling too but reading his last part it makes me think. When pac v De La Hoya was announced I gave pac virtually no shot of beating the golden boy. I mean how could he? Oscar has beaten fast fighters(mosley 2), strong fighters (vargas, mayorga, trinidad). So in my mind there was no possible way for Manny to beat oscar. This was a huge upset and I could see why its high up on the ist if your looking at it from solely the point of view of it being an upset. However, Manny didn't so much beat Oscar, even though he pummeled him. Oscar beat Oscar.

This pretty much catapulted Pac to his status now.
"Go in, Land a fury, Go out." I though this plan was insane until I saw Pac execute it.
