100% agree! B-hop will never be what he was but he would manage everyone to work 12 long hard fought rounds and will manage to stole some! Nobody can look good against Hopkins but i think Pascal got the inside game and the outside movement to win this fight !
I couldn't agree more, Dawson handed him that fight, and he didn't even look that good in getting it handed to him. Despite the fact that he was losing rounds, it was clear to me who the whole fight that Dawson was the far superior fighter, he just chose not to fight until the 11th round. Hopkins would just toy with Pascal and put on a clinic against him, even at the age of 45.
Look at that avatar. You a-rabs cry about Isreali racism while ya'll are JUST AS BAD IF NOT WORSE.:deal
I think some people would benefit from thinking back to 2008. BHop looked like **** against Calzaghe, and his fiddle-foul-and spoil tactics back fired on him. The number one reason gamblers, journalists, and fans made Pavlik a 4:1 favorite was that nearly eveyone thought Bernard was shot. BHop came out and put on what he personally called the best performance of his career. Don't read to much into the Ornales fight. Enrique Ornales is a Golden Boy fighter who needed money. Benard wanted a stay busy fight. That was little more than a paid sparring session that happen to be on TV. Bernard looked awful against Jones, but let me remind you, the score cards read 118-109, 117-110, 117-110. BHop's fiddle-foul-and spoil tactics worked big time in that fight. When they roll Old Man River to the ring in a wheel chair, I might pick against him again, but that depends on the opponent!
Sorry for my english Just translated almost all this from google And here my thoughts I just seen some old fight from Hopkins back to back. And I changed my mind about Bernard, it would not be a good opponent for him. As in rock-paper-Scissors. I see Bute beat Hopkins, Pascal beat Bute and Hopkins beat Pascal. And it especially if Pascal made the mistake of leaving Montreal. Hopkins needs a good jab to destabilize the like Taylor did. Bute has a hell of a jab in addition to southpaw. Pascal is not close to having a jab like Bute. Another case, Hopkins loves to step ahead and fold to defend himself, it could be fatal against the Bute's uppercut. Bute himself, needs a fighter who you coward not a sole. I've just seen both fights against Andrade. And sorry Bute, Andrade but really did not look like an athlete beside of Pascal, it did not match his strength, his speed, his footworks but just his heart. Pascal for its part, would have many problems against Hopkins. Against a guy who was born to dodge flurries (he could stop and hold Pascal after one or two punchs of Pascal). I see Pascal in losing a decision, tight points against Hopkins, maybe even a split decision. And even this, in Montreal, already I can hear the spirit sabottés and the fans booing with the style''could not be flatter''Hopkins. Bring Cloud pls!
I dont think Hopkins has much left, sure he looked great against Pavlik but that was a walking stiff, the movement alone that Pascal would bring after several rounds Hopkins would be gassed out... and the body shots, well cal SLAPPY as you all call him hurt Hopkins to the body.... Pascal on points wide.....
You can't write Hops off but I think Pascal by UD. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest though if Hops schooled him. He's a crafty old vet.
