wadup esb , you know its sooo hard right now to be a boxing fan , im not alone in this i hope , it seems none of the champs want to defend their belts(ex.Berto) and none of the contenders want to step up to the plate(ex. povetkin) , also you get fighters asking for millions and they aren't even champions yet (ex.angulo), and worst of all Champions blatantly duck each other gaurding their belts like a ****ing leprakahn (bad spelling) gaurds his gold (ex.haye, floyd & pac to some degree) i mean this **** is getting out of hand , imagine if all fighters were like (ex.cotto or martinez )
down to fight anyone anytime , boxing would be on fire , what do you guys think would be a solution to this growing epidemic?

Patience young grasshopper! I've been a boxing fan since Methusala was in his prime! Boxing has always been cyclic. It will heat back up before long.

why focus on just the Champions?
Real boxing enthusiasts focus on the contenders and the upcoming prospects. I have a hard time just keeping up on all the action and hardly watch other sports. Anticipating golden prospects' next moves are very exciting!

What? The cancer is YOU. YOU who won't go see local boxing shows full of no names. YOU who won't support a championship fighter after a loss. YOU who won't join a boxing gym. YOU who won't put your kids into boxing. YOU who won't open a boxing gym. YOU who don't invite the younger cousins/friends/neighbors over to your bachelor pad to watch the fights.

Not saying YOU personally but anything wrong with anything can usually be traced back to its consumers and their belief that "good" product just makes itself without their involvement, music, art, sports, government, you name it.

There was a time when a boxer had to earn his shot at the title and the champion had to defend it against the top contender. Rankings were earned, not bought.
