this guy is simply not acceptible. everybody knows it, so stop talking absolute garbage those that r trying to justify this as a possibility. this is deja vu. i know the result was briggs taking a dive and not his inactivity that this fight ended, but this fight has the same poor ending written all over it. same as the fools trying to tell us danny williams is credible for alex leapai.
There are certainly better opponents out there. But my view is Jirov is a reasonable match-up. He's probably seen better days. But he's younger than Green. Has had more fights, and has been in against better opposition. He's definately not Huck or Cunningham though.
He is no where near top 10 at Cruiser these days & in his twilight having turned pro at 22. This is not a good fight no matter what spin you put on it.
Ive found the perfect Opponent for Danny Green in order to boost his repuatation he should take on none other than.. This content is protected Thats right folks, Chuck NORRIS! ..Chuck is so powerfull he can split boulders in half with his bare hands! This content is protected Surely an opponent of such calibure will boost the Green Machine Circus lol
I'm not that strong on it to be honest Kegsy, and are always prepared to be convinced by facts and solid logic. It just continues to amaze me how opponents for certain Aussie fighters are disected down to being bums in 5 minutes flat by people here who've who've never even seen them - and I'm not referring to you in this instance.
RJJ wasnt disected until Green knocked him out, i think people are more suss now on Green due to Siaca and the Briggs fight. He never really stepped it up after knocking out RJJ which was a huge mistake imo.
the list of fighters that had a 'layoff', and then went on to make history is as long as a country road. jersey joe?
Roy is an ATG and was very highly favoured to beat Green. History shows Green blew him away. But Roy was crap against Hopkins afterwards as well, and though BHop dominated him he couldn't stop him.
If you read what i said you would have seen that he wont need to be in his prime to be a challenge and a good fight. Its hard to tell where green is at... he could be or he could be no where near it... its hard to tell with his opposition of late.
Cool. I dont know why you thought that i was saying that green was going to kill him. I just took exception to your asking why he isnt in his prime... and the answer is that nobody in their prime fights once in 3 years.... it just doesnt happen. Other than the definition of prime i think we agree.
