Hope your right Oz mate but would you have had a quid on Briggs going out like that ? i just hope Jirov has more desire and integrity than Briggs showed on the night ,it's all well and good coming out of retirement for a few quid but to blatantly rob your fellow countrymen of their hard earned in that way is what can only be described as a criminal act .

 

I saw that a few years ago , Jirov will hopefully last longer than a round but your right if this is billed as a super fight then Green and co should be shot with **** .

 

I havent even bothered to ask has this fight even been signed??

Danny Green ain't fighting any CURRENT top 5 or 6 cruiserweights in the world. You can take that to the bank.

 

He fought a stupid fight against an inferior opponent. Pascal had a good strategy and snatched the fight with the help of the home crowd swaying the judges. Honestly though Dawson should've never had any trouble with Pascal. He deserved the loss, hopefully he comes back and realises that he has to work abit harder, he seemed to think that he just had to show up to win. Lazy, uninspired performance. I think Pascal is just an average fighter truthfully.

 

I would be extremely surprised if he fights anyone near top 10 let alone top 5.:deal

What you think is next for Dawson?Probably a re match??

 

I thought Pascal fought with a great strategy also & took full advantage of a lacklustre Dawson.
The home crowd helped too of course, but i would expect a rematch to be real interesting.
I hope Pascal comes with some other strategies & options coz he will be in for a tougher night than last week.

 

Boxrec recently changed the spellings of the names of a bunch of Eastern bloc fighters for no good reason. He's always gone by Jirov.

Anyway, he's just another shot fighter for Green to pick on.

 

Green throws money at overseas boxer with decent record .
Boxer with decent record comes to Australia stands there for a coupe of rounds taking punches.
Boxer goes down in the 2nd 3rd or 4th making everyone think Green is packing C4 in his gloves.

Everyone gets payed, everyone is happy. Except for the 20 percent of fans that know whats really going on.

 

unless Pascal fights Nard as his next fight.he may be 45 but i feel the Executioner has 1 more against the odds performance left in him.Pascal called out Calzaghe as well.when will people accept hes retired.

 

I agree that Bhop will want at least 1 more fight before he retires and a fight with Pascal in Canada would be a winnable option for him and pay well.
