some of the most interesting athletic and intriguing fighters have been black, am i supposed to be interested in ricky hatton because he drink beer all day and didnt dedicate himself the way he supposed to, that aint interestig.

I like watching Mayweather, I think he's a dick but he's a joy to watch. I don't like Jones at all-I never have. He's a product of drugs over technical skill. So I don't see the relationship. If you're noticing a trend amongst members of this forum I suggest you dismiss it. There are too many silly agendas, too many morons for anything to mean anything here.

I do see what Addie's trying to say though.

Whenever me and my boys would see a Mayweather fight, all of them would root for Floyd and I'd be the only one rooting for the other guy (DLH, Hatton).

Surprise, surprise, when I'd ask why they cheer they wouldn't say it's because of his top level skills but because: "he's black, he got that money, and he don't give a **** what people think".

Now I'm not gonna say all the black people who root for him are doing it for those reasons, but lets not act like there are none that do either.

 

Most of these cats are gloryhunters,they support whoever is on top.when Jones was on top they were their fans then father time caught up to Roy they changed alliance to the next black stud that was on hold to replace Roy at the top which was fraud.

Me getting jumped by Boyz in the Hood was predictable. If I'm so daring to go out of my way and generalize all of them, I'm not surprised they are going to take offense. Whereas most fans like to discuss what their favorite fighters are doing inside a boxing ring, talking about their skills and abilities, a great deal of Floyd fans seemed to make it their business what "Money" earns in a year. "He's got that cash, baby". Some of them, bless their hearts, even go as far to quote their favorite fighter.

Huge Roy fan, never really liked Mayweather. Always thought he was overrated.

 

I've actually appreciated the back and forth, and you did make some compelling points, but I still think the trend exists. By mentioning one or two exceptions does not disprove that.

As a side note, I'd be liable to take you more seriously if you used correct grammar. Some capital letters would suffice.
