Does being a Roy Jones fan come with a free subscription to being PBF fan?

So what if race is a connecting factor? In my opinion, Blacks aren't supporting their fighters enough. Otherwise, most of them wouldn't have trouble selling tickets. If Black Americans on this website didn't stand behind Black American fighters, almost all of them would have no supporters on here. Meanwhile, Mexicans would continue jocking Mexican fighters, ditto for Puerto Ricans, Pinoys, Cubans and the Polish.

And the probability of a JuanMa fan liking Cotto is just as high.:good

And the probability of a JMM fan liking Margarito (before handwraps) is just as high.:good

Lets not forget about the Pav fans who just love Jesse Brinkley.:good

And I think you will find that the highest probability of all would be a Philipino boxing fan liking Pac is probably going to be the highest of all.:good

I don't see the big deal. And I don't see what's wrong with it.

Will do. My friend's dad gave me a lecture on work ethic today so I'll try to train more during my free time. What's the point of me having potential if I don't fulfill it eh?lol

There is nothing wrong with race being a connecting factor, but many of these guys try to make it more of a factor than it is while diminishing the more important aspects of the connection like fighting style and personality.

You bring up a good point. FMJ has no problem selling tickets. Neither did Jones. SSM did. Why? Because he was never accepted by the Black community and I am not holding that for/against him. One thing that most Black fans can't stand is a fighter sucking up to forces that they all know hate him deep down. SSM is much like the ODLH of the Black community.

People like both RJJ and FMJ because they like the African American style of boxing. Fast, athletic, flashy, accurate, and defensively sound.

I can see how anyone could dislike both RJJ and PBFs persinalties, but in the ring they are freak shows and are 1 in a million fighters.

So i love them both for being such unique figthers.

Roy Jones was never a big ticket seller. Mayweather can sell tickets now, but most of the people showing up are booing him. If the Black community didn't support Mayweather, he would have almost no fans.

If you refer to my opening couple of posts, the ones that seem to have enraged you immensely, personality was what I was talking about. Hip Hop culture embrace the likes of Floyd and Jones, not because they have black skin, but because of their personality and attitude. One of them made a hip hop cd, and the other has been in a hip hop video and is always going on about "Filthy Rich Records'. I tend to think guys, not just blacks, who listen to Hip Hop and embrace that culture would support Floyd and RRJ in Boxing.

What I'm saying is who winning and knocking guys out. When they get old and start losing, the bandwagon gets empty. It's going to happen to Floyd too.
