Since I saw this Wednesday the highly touted Cuban amateur star Yordenis Ugas, I am convinced that this kid has all the neccessary tools to not only make it but make it big !!!

    Here are his best attributes...

    Extremely fast and powerful hands...
    Extremely accurate...
    Very good defense...
    Plenty of offensive arsenal...
Has a Lion's heart, attacks with plenty of desire...
Was one of the best Cubans as an amateur both in Cuba and Internationally...
And is just 24 years old !!! :happy

The conclusion: Mark my words, this kid will make it big as long as he keeps focused and out of temptations. I will place him right now together with Yuriorkis Gamboa and Guillermo Rigondeaux as Cuba's best talents, even on top of Erislandy Lara !!! :bbb

out of the cubans boxing now...ugas, lara and perez have impressed me the most (i'm cuban by the way :yep).

Ugas is the most skilled of them all in my opinion.

No doubt Ugas is a guy I'll be keeping an eye on. To me the Welters is the most exciting division and he gots the good to be a dominant champ. I'm sure Floyd and Manny will be long retired by the time Ugas gets a crack at a belt. Man I would love to see Ugas vs Canelo Alvarez.

i was very impressed by this kid,i will agree he is as talented as gamboa and rigo...looks stronger than Lara and plenty of skills. As long as he doesnt derail his life i think he can be a contender after a couple of fights.
wow Canelo vs Ugas..that sounds damn good!

Yeah I do hope he can stay focused and hungry. Who is his trainer, is it Orlando Cuellar?

Ugas looked to be the real deal. Damn the Cubans are gonna own the pound for pound list for a few years in the near future if they keep it rolling
