You are absolutely right. :good I don't follow lower weight class fighters.....so I haven't seen much, if any, of Adamek other than his few heavyweight fights. Seems pretty good to me, and I'm glad to see he puts the work in. But, with him being a heavyweight for such a short period of time, he hasn't turned into a fighter that I can say I'm a real fan of. With Grant, I wasn't into boxing as much when he fought Lewis, I was too busy chasing the girls (or was it them chasing me ) in high school. So again, he's not someone I'm a real fan of. But the matchup of these two fighters is intriguing to me. You have a big guy who was labeled a "bust" 10-years ago, but appears to still be in good shape, against a 40lbs smaller up and comer to the division. So I'm just hoping for a good fight.
If Grant beats Adamek tomorrow, Grant will scream for a shot at either "Holy, Haye or the K-bros..... Grant is ranked...... MR.BILL:hat
Another reason why this fight is interesting to me. Whoever wins is a step closer to fighting Wlad or Vitali. Just placed my order for the HD broadcast of the PPV tomorrow night....hope it's really in HD.
Good point. I noticed he looks a bit soft too. However, the way to KO grant is to tap his chin, not the body... unless of course he's seriously winded.
Grant is naturally trained today...... No more sippin' from Holy's bottle of juice like he was 10 years ago..... Just my suspicion...... MR.BILL Grant was Holy's best man at Holy's 1999 or 2000 wedding to one of his wives...... Holy and Grant were tight then...... I'm not sure if they hook or talk to each other anymore......
Depends on what you mean by 'make'. He can make it the James Toney way, he can't make it the Roy Jones way.
Chadwick Dawson can make 215 pounds easy. BUT! How does he wish to do it? He can go the KFC route or he can do it the roid way.... But yes, he can make 215 pounds.... Christ, he prolly starves to make 175 anyway.?.? MR.BILL
Andy Golota was a major head case........ He drove me nuts over the years..... Golota was way outta shape at 257 and age 42 against Tom Adamek in Poland last year..... That was a case of looking at some quick retirement cash to bank...... I'm sure Golota is all done now and has some cabbage to live off of..... I bet he's got some pads' that style in Chicago and Poland.?.? MR.BILL
37 ain't old anymore........ Not with athletes' who've not taken lotsa' abuse or slacked off in diet and training routine..... Mike Grant is a big dude who's well preserved since 2003 or so... He is not worn out or in gross shape.... He carries that 261 as well as he should carry it..... Plus, once again, for the umpteenth time, it truly looks like Grant is naturally trained and not on any foreign substances' right outta "Muscle and Fitness" magazine....... Cheerio..... MR.BILL:hat
