enjoyed the thread. i have stated the same opinion about floyds core fan base and got the same reaction. after the first post i could have given you an exact list of the posters that were going to flip out on you and i am sure you already knew what wheels would squeek the loudest . the only one i got wrong was barnyard.
the counter arguments are hilarious in their misguided simplicity only because they are thrown out in defense without regard for thruth or relevance.

:confI'm not saying all of Floyd's supporters are fans of Hip Hop music, only that it's a core target audience. Ellerbe actually confirmed that belief in writing. It's no coincidence that Jones also appeals to the same audience, when he's releasing Hip Hop records, and talks about pay cheques more than he does fighting. I suppose some are taking this as a slight on not only the fighters but their fans.

    Nobody has flipped out.

I think one of boxing's GREATEST characters was Chris Eubank. I know for a fact that he would have sold like wildfire here in the states if he was better known. Nothing about him is "hip hop", but you find many similarities in the personality profile.

I agree , most are hip hop fans . I am not big on hip hop but RJJ and PBF are two of my fave fighters. I like their confidence and the way the understand that it is about making money.

***Some one will now point out Mayweather isnt confident because he wont fight Pac and isnt into making money for the same reason. I have came to the conclusion that i will just rasta it because i think its beyond arguing.

    Your argument makes no sense.

It would be like me mentioning two English fighters with similar elements in their fighting styles, personality profiles, and cultural back grounds. Then saying that fans of them like some broad genre like "rock".

No fan of hip hop took or take RJJ or FMJ seriously as artists.

dude, you and the obvious few were baring your fangs in the first few pages. just because you toned it down now doesnt mean your earlier posts werent filled with a little venom. the very fact that you stepped forward and took offence to " flip out" ,means you yourself know who caught a rash off this thread.

Floyd Mayweather has a fan base consisting of two people? Than where did he get all this cash he's been flashing whilst simultaneously plugging his record label, "Filthy Rich Records, baby". He doesn't promote classical music, coincidentally.
