"Malice" is the key word with public figures...First, the stated 'fact(s)' must be incorrect. Second, the offender must either knowingly mistate the facts or there must be no attempt made to verify the truthfulness of the statement prior to publicly making them.

In this case, Floyd Sr. clearly stated Pac was using PED's as a 'fact', NOT an opinion ('Opinions' are fully protected by the First Amendmant). There was no evidence Pac had ever used PED's and thus, there was nothing to cause a 'reasonable person' to believe he had used them...With no proof Pac is using PED's, this 'fact' will be assumed to be 'false'. Yet, he made the statement(s) anyways.

And remember he stated Pac had already used them, negating any argument that future 'testing' was in any way an attempt to verify his set of 'facts'...

Had he stated this as opinion or that Pac refuted his set of 'facts' (even though it is obvious to some that he would), Floyd Sr. would be fine. But, this looks like he knowingly made a false statement with intent to harm (Malice). Public Figure or not, this looks like Pac has a fairly prototypical defamation case with substantial damages...

    But that's just my opinion....

Dude, where's the freakin proof? All this is your interpretation and opinion. The lawsuit would be an uphill climb, but it isn't cut and dry as you portray. Next time you put proof on the title, please have some...damn :nono

The basic thing here is that if Mayweather never asked for his OSDT ploy, we'd be on a rematch my now. Mayweather knew that Pacquiao thought the blood draw right before the Morales fight weakened him. This was Mayweather playing mind games. He ain't the commission. Arum, in the interest of appearing reasonable, made the mistake of accepting Mayweather's request as being within bounds. Stupid move.

It would be tantamount to the New Orlean Saints telling the Indianapolis Colts they have to take OSDT before they play the Super Bowl, because they have a suspicion that they are all on PED's. The NFL would of told the New Orlean Saints **** YOU play the ****ing game. But because the Boxing Commissions and sanctioning bodies are weak, we have the best fighters avoid each other.

It's bull**** and Mayweather has weakened boxing with his INSECURITIES. :fire

Exactly. Monetary damages play a small part in this case, IMO.

Who cares. Only Pac fans obsess over fight night weights and cut off dates. All these ridiculous demands and evasions are turning Pacs fights into BS WWE entertainment, only they are leaving out the entertainment.

The lawsuit was filed before blood testing was demanded by Floyd if I'm not mistaken. Lawsuit had nothing to do with negotiations, more to do with what was said in the press.

That being said, I believe there's no chance Pac wins the lawsuit because history shows that it is nearly impossible to win this type of case. It does not mean it was the right thing to do. When someone accuses you of something with zero proof, you let the justice system handle it.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

A typical Mayweather fan. Can't even answer a simple question. Don't forget that your hero is the one that's accusing Pacquiao of PEDs and making the RIDICULOUS demand. He is also the one avoiding Pacquiao. He's afraid of Pacquiao that he can't even mention his name.

The part of the video is the last part. True or false? Everyone has their own opinion...:rofl

It's also funny how you Mayweather fans are so obsess with Pacquiao's blood. :rofl

Seriously though, how can you support Mayweather? He dumb and pathetic. :rofl

I have no reason to doubt him. He gave me some good advice on law school apps. Bart is also an attorney.
