I gotta admit I was sour on Pascal's win over my boy Bad Chad, but he has grown on me since. Reading interviews, he is willing to fight anyone, pays respect to Chad even though he was whining after the fight and tributes to Jones Jr. and Mayweather Jr. The dude has class and right now he is the top dog at 175lb (even though the real dawson beats him in a rematch)

I don't think there was interest in a fight between Pascal/Miranda after Pascal looked bad on the same card as Miranda. Miranda just decapitated Banks and after Pascal struggled on the same card it didn't look right to make the fight anymore.

at the end of the day, no matter what people say about pascal the fact is simple, he has beaten the best man in his division. he lost a very competitive fight to one of the best at 168 and since moving up he is undefeated and HAS looked very good in all his fights.

He fought against him to defend his title. *golf hand clap* 29 guys fought him before Pascal... Seriously, what choice did he have in fighting Dawson? He pretty much had none, his big head would not have allowed to relinquish the title and then show everyone that he was scared to fight Dawson. Which he wasn't, props to him. But note that he got paid 1050000 dollars to fight Dawson. So even if he lost, it wasn't a risk, he was making a million dollars, his highest pay day by far to date. Hell, for a million dollars, I'd fight Dawson. :yep Most money he ever made, hell, I think he might have made more in that one fight than all his previous fights combined... So again, you can't even call collecting a million dollar check a 'risk'. Even if he lost, he was a winner because that fight made him rich. Yep yep... D'accord pour les deux!!! I want to see JP win, but because he fought a great fight, that last fight left a sour taste in my mouth because Dawson did so damn little, almost handed the fight to Pascal on a silver platter... No mistake about it, JP won, props to him, but if Dawson is at the top of his game, I think JP loses... Note: The Dawson we saw might have been at the top of the game too, then he's just nowhere near as great we thought... Bute is a better fighter than Pascal IMHO.
