when super was in his prime, arguably up until the cotto fight, how do you rate his handspeed, in comparison with todays boxers?

in the 140-147 division the fastest hands are probably khan, berto, pacman and floyd, how would you rate his hands vs these guys, or others?

I've seen some of his 'prime' fights. I don't get it. People say his speed was 'miles' faster than the likes of the ones you mentioned when he isn't.

    He's just up there.

i think the main reason is in the floyd fight he was able to beat him to the punch for the first 4 rounds

I think Zab's speed is on par with Paquiao and Mayweather, at least when he was in his prime. In fact I think he still may have the speed to compete with both of them, assuming of course he was dedicated, disciplined, had his head on straight and took care of his stamina issue, of course thats a big IF.

Those videos of Khan up top aren't that fast to me. I saw combination punching more than killer speed. Khan during the Paulie fight was fast as ****.

vs earl he was pretty monstrous i thought. against paulie he looked very fast late on, but not early on. he is a quick fighter and it shows in all his fights, they where just 3 i picked off top of my head

For what its worth Bert Sugar and Teddy Atlas both said something in a pre-fight interview before the Judah-Mayweather fight that I thought was interesting. They both agreed that Zab's handspeed was just as good as Floyd and his footspeed was far better.

The Salita fight was a much better example of Khan's Handspeed. He looked like lightning in there.
