Like whats your Point? 1 Guy Tries His Hardest Not to Get Hit and Prefers a Laid Back Slow Fight doing enough Counters and occasional Punches Thrown in Offense, hence Most Wins on Decision Other Guy Does His Hardest to KO his Opponent, in Place of getting Tagged Along but Taking it real well.. hence Fights Likely go KO/TKO Win 2 Diff Fighting Styles, 2 Diff Approach
' Exactly. But whats throughout history proven to be the superior style? Conservative slick defensive fighters or come forward brawlers? If Manny got hit that much against Cotto and clottey and it did damage, whats gonna happen against Floyd?
Again Diff Fighters, Diff Fighting Style.. Cotto, Clottey and Mayweather all Differ in Styles which im Pretty sure you know.. but clearly, Cotto and Clottey Hits Harder Than Floyd and Cotto Being a Fighter/Boxer .. actually Engages on Fights (Which him ended up with a Busted Bloody face...) Clottey on the other hand well.. idk what to say cuz hes always been a Very Tight Defensive Shell kind of Guy (Diff from what PBF uses) that for obvious reasons, made Pac abandon Defence to try and get him out of that shell Floyd Doesnt really engage on Fights, but rather Control/enforce his own style to his opponents, and dam sure dont go shell up the way clottey does also, regarding your question.. i dont believe there really is a Superior Style in Boxing, like alot of Boxing Fans/Experts say, anything can happen in that ring..
Incorrect ..... Both Marquez and Mosley were NOT in position to throw a combination therefore Floyd had the easy counter. Just look at Marquez's and Mosley's positioning. There was little risk in Floyd countering. They only threw back after Floyd already countered them. Too late! That was there mistake and that is what I'm stating that Manny should not do. If they both followed with a right after there jab then Floyd would more than likely not counter. Especially with the heavier handed Mosley. Like I said, Manny needs to come in with combinations only.
funny u mention angles...floyds defense involves NOT GIVING HIS OPPONENTS ANGLES...WHY DO U THINK ITS ALWAYS SO HARD TO FIND A GOOD SHOT? Floyd takes angles away with ridiculous footwork. His opponent very rarely has an angle he can take...MANNY WONT HAVE THOSE ANGLES TRUST..UNLESS HE GET HIS FOOTWORK UP HE GONNA BE LOOKIN FOR AN ANGLE ALL NIGHT AND GETTING COUNTERED:deal "YOUR LOOKING FOR ONE BIG PERFECT SHOT, THERE IS NONE!"
You really think that Floyd is an offensive fighter like the ones that Pac beat? Ok tell floyd to fight Pacquiao now. I mean, Pac is easy to hit right? he'll swell up much more against Floyd right? Now why is FLoyd not doing it?
It's timing and footwork. Floyd doesn't give them the angles by proper placing his feet. Marquez doesn't ride the short yellow bus when it comes to ring IQ; it's not like he did it himself. Floyd did it to him.
You will argue with *******s how floyd is good against southpaw and stopping weird angles, *******s will say otherwise - 'till you both turn blue. One thing is fact. FMJ doesn't want to fight Pac. *******s and *****s are the real loosers - fans like you.
Nothing to do with timing when you come in with combinations and your opponent has a built in defense mechanism. Floyd is a careful fighter and thinks defense first. That's his nature. Yes, if there is the opening, he takes it with his countering BUT if he has someone who can knock him out in front of him that's coming in with combinations, Floyd will do his defensive routine. He will more than likely NOT counter. Now add the fact that Manny is a really good southpaw and Floyd has had some trouble with southpaws, I don't see Floyd countering a Manny that will be throwing combinations. If Manny comes in one punch at a time, then I agree with you but not with good combinations...... again, that is NOT Floyd's thing!
If you time them properly you can hit them after their first punch in their combo. This content is protected Tell me what the **** is that? Floyd had trouble with southpaws. emmanuel has STRUGGLED with counter-punching technicians in the past. This content is protected Sorry, Floyd can counter even if you decide to get at him with combos. He BUCKLED Oscar's knees, who has a better chin than emmanuel and was also training under roach.
Admirable how he just waits for that jab and positions himself. That's a great way to neutralize an opponents jab, but he leaves himself open for an uppercut. Not many fast enough to catch him tho.
First of all, against Oscar, when Oscar thru combos, most of Floyd's timed shots were weak and at most, just kept Oscar off balance. Most of the time, that plus his jab is when Oscar scored his points. As for doing that with Manny (countering Manny when Manny is throwing combos) ...... Wow oh wow .... with Manny coming in as a southpaw and Floyd leaving himself unprotected like that would be a dream come true for the quicker and more accurate Manny (than Oscar) ..... that is why I say, part of Manny's game plan is to throw combos. You are just pointing why Manny needs to do what I say, at least as part of his overall game plan.
Oscar is also bigger than Floyd, outweighed Floyd, and he has a better chin than manny. Those "weak" Mayweather shots will have moar of an effect on manny than it did Oscar. No, all I did was prove your AZZ wrong when you said Floyd doesn't counter when someone throws combos. Don't act like you didn't say it. Now that your theory was proven wrong by pictorial evidence, you make a lame attempt to save your face by saying emmanuel isn't counterable when he throws his combos. The risk of throwing a punch is that you leave yourself open to be countered. Floyd uses those openings for his offense.
