Adamek doesn't have the slightest bit of power up at HW. When a shot version of Grant takes your very best shots and comes on strong late in the fight you know you have a few troubles.
Haye is only a few pounds heavier than Adamek.....if Haye fights and beats Adamek, it won't be because he's a huge HW. But Haye-Adamek would be a lot more competitive (on paper at least) than Adamek with either Klit.
Adamek has a big set of church bells but he was a few punches way from being sent into Hatton Wonderland. And Grant made himself relevant for one more fight. For a heavyweight fight this was pretty entertaining.
Can't imagine Adamek survivng 5 rounds with either klit. He wasn't evasive enough and he couldn't hurt Grant. The main problem I see if that he couldn't properly turn over his punches or get enough leverage against an opponent that size.
I think Grant can still make some noise in the division. He should take this as a confidence builder, maybe come in 10 lbs lighter in his next fight, and good things might happen.
Addie isn't a "gayehugger." Why is it so absurd to speculate about a fight between Haye & Adamek? They're both former cruiserweights making their way in the heavyweight division. It's a fight that needs to happen. Get the ****ing sand out of your vaginas.
Is that such a bad thing? I would rather have somebody make a dumb comment, but is really positive, than a dumb comment that is really negative, which is pretty much every single post on this site.
Have no doubt that Adamek has the chin and heart to make a fight with Haye something great though, hope the fight is made.
Adamek 9-3 Grant. Both Klitschko's beat him handily based on that performance...Vitali possibly getting him out of there earlier than his brother. He was fairly easy to find tonight, Grant didn't take advantage...Adamek jumped in on numerous occasions throughout the 12 rounds...and that may be his downfall against both Klitschko's.
He has the heart but not the chin. He gets caught and the fight gets over. He'll have to develop a Mayweather style defence to win such a bad clash of styles for him.
I scored it narrowly for Grant. Could live with a draw, or even a narrow Adamek win. But 10-2, 9-2-1 and 9-3 ? Not a chance. And I was cheering for Adamek. Grant had him seriously wobbled at one point mid fight and the round ended. He had him on the run and in trouble in the last roud. Grant was never in any danger and Adamek's punches had little effect on Grant. Grant should have taken Big George's advice and taken it out of the judges hands. He had his chances to do so, but failed to capitalize. Either Klitschko would stop this very game pole in the first two to four. He just doesn't have anything that would keep them off him.
