There seems to be a consensus now that Haye would beat Adamek

I don't care enough about Haye or this particular fight to argue with you, but that fight was a one-sided destruction. Barret of course coming off a draw over heavily favored David Tua.

I thought he dominated Valuev comprehensively. Scoring punches that are neither thrown or landed is a concept that doesn't compute with me.

With a bit more polish, that fight could and most likely, would, have been a first round knockout. As it were, the fight was utterly an utterly one-sided beat-down, so much so that it was Ruiz's own corner who stopped it.

    Irrelevant.

I actually thought Holy did a better job than Haye. At least Holyfield/Valuev was more watchable.

I think Haye won practically every round against John Ruiz. He wouldn't need to throw in combination's to knockout a fighter who's been wobbled by Michael Grant, a notoriously fragile fighter, who wasn't moved or even stunned by any of Adamek's offense tonight. I feel very strongly about this match-up. I think people's love of Adamek and their distaste for Haye has made them largely irrational.

If Barret put him down, then it was not one-sided.

He may have beaten Valuev comprehensively, but you can't really "dominate" in a fight where neither guys throws much.

Ruiz has been shot for years, that is the point.

Not irrelevant. He knows his own flaws at heavy.

Holyfield did a much better job at fighting Valouev. Haye did nothing but run without throwing punches. Track & Field.

Adamek will knock Haye out. Solis stopped Haye in amateurs, and don't forget that Haye was knocked out by a cruiserweight!

It's late. I'm not discussing this any further.

I'll just wish you luck if the fight is ever made, just be sure not to blink.

    I'd be a neutral. I like both men...Adamek a little more so.

Adamek has the guts to fight Klitschkos or anyone. Haye does not.

    - Grant has a big right hand if nothing else. So what. Haye could hurt Adamek, agreed, goes both ways though.

Dominated no and Chagaev, Holyfield, Donald, and Bidenko all beat (or should have beat on the cards) Valuev more convincingly and didn't run like pussies in the process.

Adamek doesn't really get anything from Haye even if he wins. Haye's belt is BS just like Adamek's current belts. The Klits hold the real prize and I'm sure that's what Adamek wants badly. The Haye fight makes a lot of sense for Adamek though. It would be a better match up for Adamek, and he could make a lot of money in the UK. I also think he has a good shot to beat Haye and he'd get a lot of respect from the boxing community if he does so.

I actually did quite like Haye. I still respect his telent and accomplishements. But he is tarnishing his leagacy with all the talking and not fighting, and I have never seen such delusional fans in terms of overestimating his abilities. It would be a great fight- all I am saying is that I don't see how people are writing Adamek off. If anything, he has proved his chin further.

You're obviously riddled with bias in this discussion considering you are naturally supporting your countrymen. That's fine, you're a good poster.

We have seen David Haye hurt and knockdown respected Heavyweight fighters with single shots. We have not yet seen Adamek do that to anyone but a completely shot and under-prepared Andrew Golota. One of them is a big puncher by Heavyweight standards whereas the other is a hard hitting Light Heavyweight.
