Hiroshi 'The voice of reason' Kobayashi

For a second I thought I was being labelled a rabid Duran fan. To be fair I have watched the fight afew times and had Hagler winning and only once had Duran winning. But I will be the first to admit I have my own fairly unique scoring system that often turns up some odd decisions.

Here we go again.... I have a different interpretation of "prime" than most. If someone is capable and compared to his peak - a dangerous boxer - then I consider him to be in his prime. That includes Tyson vs Holyfield, and also Duran vs Buchanan.

As for the second statement, I never said that.

Anyone else wanna be considered, or another poster recommended?

Two guys come to mind: DWP 'n Boggle. Both are boxing savvy 'n articulate.

Look no further as i'am yer man:yep

But only on condition that you bring before me MAG1965 for swift & immediete prosecution & sentence for the heinous crime of continually bleating that Leonard was a green champion & Duran is not an ATG because he never KO'd Leonard/Hagler or any ATG:roll:

Here are 3 that would be good/fair/impartial & are pretty switched IMO........

    What a Rock....Aussie
    Bummy Davis....U.S.
    Stevie G..........England.

How long will judges' terms be? There is an ebb and flow to most posters' habits (except McGrain, who is on pace to break the million mark by the next Olympics), so it might be prudent to have a pool of qualified candidates from which to rotate in the two active judges at any given time (should one or both acting judges go on hiatus).

I accept. It's an honor, you have no idea how much of a bonehead I am.

Now that I have all this incredible power, as part of the committee I'd like to make a recommendation. It's imperative that Intentional Butt be in on this. Totally unbiased. Boxed Ears is also very knowledgable and unbiased, don't be fooled by his rep as a jokester.

Thanks for the props JG...(I think you're talking about me anyway) coming from a boxing guy like yourself I'll take it as a real compliment. There are many here who are more well rounded than I am...
    I'd nominate quite a few actually;
Duo, JT1,M2S,teeto,Mcgrain,Meta,McV, Ted S,..so many quality posters. Gpater, SH...Raging Bull gives a great analysis of fights.

I'd better add there are quite a few more than the 3 i named (I took about 15 secs and have already seen some more nice names come up) i'd be confident in, i just don't cruise here as much as i used to and am not up to date with a lot of good (and often newer) posters. A lot are also a bit inactive (Meta, Spoon, Drew101, HJ, etc etc etc etc) now. True impartiality is close to impossible, but there are some that come close.

Hmm yeah, Boxed Ears is a really good pick. Very unbiased once you wade through all the gags. Actually, he's maybe even too impartial - I could imagine him ending up calling everything a no decision or something.

Unless of course Valuev is in the equation for any of these mythical matchups. That's one fighter that he and I are completely biased about. Although, frankly, he's just that good. So yeah, we're unbiased.

While this is flattering, it is my responsibility to forewarn you all of the Achilleus' heel in my objectivity: in any mythical match-ups involving Johnny Tapia (especially but not exclusive to those at super flyweight) my inclination is going to be to side with Tapia with virtually no exception.

    Barrera vs. Tapia? Tapia.

    But...IB...they did...

    Tapia!

    Tapia vs. Ayala? Tapia.

    IB, seriously...

    TAPIA!!!!!!!!

It's the one blind spot in my sanity.
