I really like MO and he was doing well, the fight was pretty much even imo, I also loved when he started going to the body!! I hope he learns from this and comes back better!!
Mousasi didn't do anything to win the fight, he offered less viable offense period, he didn't win the fight period.
Moussassi tried some sub, destroy the face of Mo from the bottom. I agree he didn't defend any takedown for 5 round. But King Mo couldn't have a real dominant position on the ground either, he coudn't swtich stance and when he tried some g'n'p almost all the punch were blocked. I can understand why some people felt Mo won that fight, but I honestly think that if that fight woud have been judge in japan Moussassi would have won !
Never said it doesn't happen and tbh I can't say I've seen all the event but lay'n'pray just seems to be less rewarding in japan compared to the U.S.
Lay N pray did happen in Japan.. I think what needs to happens is that people just need to take up disciplines that do a better job at countering wrestling. Right now the strat is to keep hands a bit low to stuff takedowns. This leads to wrestlers who can bang being the counter... I still think Judo is the best counter.
