Why did Pacquiao change his mind and agree to testing?

The first time negotiations failed, it was because Pacquiao wanted a cut off date of 24 days before the fight right? 14-days wouldn't work.... That was the only reason the fight between he and Mayweather didn't happen. Pac's reason was blood test(s) made him weaker.

So why all of a sudden did he change his mind? What happened to the blood test making him weaker?

Did he use that as an excuse to duck Mayweather when they first attempted to negotiate to fight?

Because if he's agreeing to it now then why didn't he agree to it back in December/January?

It was a complete Duck by Manny Pacquiao and everyone with a brain knows this. He was not ready to fight Mayweather and didnt want no parts of him in December/January!!! The same people saying Floyd is scared, a chicken and making jokes about him being on vacation were making excuses for Manny back then.

That's why i pay no attention when they spew that mess because the are making themselves feel better because their HERO ducked Floyd 8 months ago!!!!!

It was the biggest Duck and lamest excuse in Boxing History!!!!!

Maybe because he heard Floyd say random testing up until the fight or no fight!!! So now he is ok with 14 days?:huh

Manny knows Floyd will beat his ass!!!

How? They went to a mediator and Manny turned down the 14 day offer for no reason at all and lied about the offer even existed.

Thats a clear Duck by Pacquiao back in December/January!!!! Give it up!!!

Erm, because that's what you do when you negotiate? You know, you set terms, see what the response will be, then re-evaluate your proposal, compromise etc.

The same way Floyd was happy with 14 days before, but now he's not. Just like he was happy with 50/50 before, but has now changed his mind on that too.

    This **** happens.

u will never get anybody who is a pac fan to admit this...i tried many times, and all i got in response was, 'well the past is the past' or people start calling you gay to deflect the attention from the topic...they made 100 excuses as to why floyd wouldnt want the fight the first time around(glove size, weight, march was too soon), and arum even recently admitted that he knew floyd wasnt on board with negotiations the second time around, its crazy how blind people are to whats going on.

Don't get me wrong fellaz, I'm not trying to beat a dead horse.

Back in December/January, Floyd agreed to everything Pac wanted (ring size, glove size, 10 million dollar overweight penalty, purse split, even though Floyd was and is the bigger PPV draw).

All Floyd wanted was this man to get his blood tested as close to the fight as possible and he wouldn't do it because he believed a blood test two weeks before the fight would make him weaker.

So why did he change if he changed? The blood test two weeks before the fight doesn't make him weaker anymore?

Uh, maybe you talked to the wrong Pacquiao fans. I'm a Pacquiao fan. The first go around was bungled by Arum and Pacquiao. People were misquoting Pacquiao left and right. Koncz made some stupid remark about Pacquiao being afraid of needles and IGNORANT people run with that still today.

Arum made made the mistake of tacitly accepting Floyd Jr's assertion that he was within his bounds to ask for Olympic Style Drug Testing in the first place. The second they put out that number of 30 days or 21 days they messed up. The 14 day cutoff should have been agreed upon sooner. What they should have done is tell him, "Sorry Floyd you aren't the commission they set the parameters and ensure the fairness of the fight." and walked.

So yes that was a blunder by Arum and Pacquiao, but I still blame Mayweather for the fight not being excuted. Without his request we'd be on a rematch by now, it seems his FEAR of losing got the better of his **** talking bravado. :deal

This is some of *the* dumbest **** I've ever seen on the 'net - and that's saying a lot.

Using your "logic" - it's Floyd's "fault" the fight didn't come off because he asked for drug testing prior to a prize fight?

So, maybe we should abolish any and ALL drug testing in ALL of professional sports? Does that sound about right to you?

That way the issue will *never* prevent another professional sports contest from happening ever again...
