If you were present at Hatton Lazcano , you would only consider one fighter for this accolade :deal A fight so small and relativeley meaningless and it was like a National event , i remember being there for Hatton vs Vilches as well and i was blown away by the intensity of the crowd and the genuine love for Hatton (the reason i mention them 2 is because there 2 bums and the fans made both fights nights to remember) , thats difficuilt to find for a fighter ................
Hatton's following was second to none, still would be at this stage of his carrer, thousands turn up to his fights weather it be in england or las vagas, the Mayweather fight was extraordinary (this is not an argument about who was better than who)
Hatton and in all honesty most other British fighters. British fans are just the best:good Imagine if Floyd fought over here in the UK? How many 'fans' do you think would travel to support him:think His fans would still be posting on here reading a RBR come fight nightThe ****ing jokers.

Delahoya used to sold out fight events fighting a nobody. I remember he fought some guy in new mexico or arizona and sold out the place. I think his opponent was david kamau.
Hatton used to fight no-bodies mid-week and the fans would turn out in the thousands for support, i can not recall any fighter with a fanbase quite like his, i was pretty special
Was the question "Which boxer has the most annoying fans most of who know nothing about boxing?", if so the answer is most definitely Ricky Hatton
i think this happens a lot in europe. I mean look at the klitscko or calzaghe when they fight. They filled up the whole stadium.
is that more annoying than having fans who dont turn up to watch the fight, and when they do they just sit there in quiet showing no support. :think ricky's fans did him proud, when he fought you couldn't tell who the home crowd were, all you could hear was his fans... :happy:happy
I have to go with hatton! Every fight no matter where or when it was filled out with the whole stadium absolutely electric with singing and the band playing. Even the weigh ins over in vegas were crazy I went to the mayweather vs hatton fight and the weigh in was just full of brits going mad for him and when he got the mic and said "lets f***ing have him" the whole place went crazy! I do think the brits are the best fans, but hatton in particular had the biggest and best following.
