4 rounds? Cotto did well in the first round when he stayed calm...when Pacquiao stepped it up...Cotto couldn't deal with the speed.

 

First 1/3rd? That would mean the first 4 rounds?
Cotto outboxed Pac in the 1st round. latter half of the 2nd round, Pac was warming up and turning the fight around. Pac dropped Cotto both in the 3rd and 4th round.... how can you say that about someone who was on the brink of being dominated and was KD'd in 2 of the 4 rounds?

Who said I didn't expect for manny to get countered?:huh I KNOW MANNY IS GONNA EAT SOME SHOTS! My point is SO WILL FLOYD! Floyd is use to avoiding 1....2...sometimes 3 punches and even then he gets tagged on occasion. Which is why I think this is gonna be a close fight. Floyd will be more efficent and accurate but less active than Manny. PAC is gonna control pace and Floyd is gonna try to control distance. If Floyd CAN'T control distance he's in trouble b/c PAC is gonna be controling the pace. I think Manny is gonna win in a close compeitive fight where he maintains control of the action in the fight. Not to say Floyd isn't gonna have success....I fully believe he will show signs of brilliance....I just don't feel it will be consistant enough to over shawdow Manny's pressrue over 12 rounds.

 

I didn't forget that b/c that (Cotto out boxing Manny for the 1st 3rd part) never happened. The 1st 3 rounds were compeitive where Manny still did enough to win. Cotto may have won a single round at best but that's just being nice. Cotto is a very good boxer. He was just known more for his brutal style and quiet demeanor. He just wasn't on PAC's level.

I don't think JMM's style caused Manny's work rate to drop.....JMM really wasn't all that accurate in the rematch with Manny. He laned at like 32 or 33% collectively. Manny's work rate was low for the MAB rematch as well. This was during a point of Manny's career where you could see some MAJOR differences in his style. He was less active....thinking more and applying a more intelligent approach. I don't think JMM can be given full credit for Manny's work rate.

Every time people say Pac will just open up with combos I often wonder how many PBF fights have people seen? How many times does it have to be said you're not going to land a 6 or 7 punch combos on PBF. It doesn't happen you'll either get countered or he won't be there or he block your shots. If people are really expecting Pac to throw 4,5 and 6 shot combos on PBF with success their in for a rude awaking. Pac will get the **** countered out of him if he does that.:deal Pac is wide open and off balanced when he opens up often. He will be a sitting duck for an accurate counter puncher like PBF and picked apart. Not to mention the reach advantage that will leave Pac reaching in and you have a recipe for disaster for Pac.
