[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vml8I9bcOk&feature=related[/ame] A victory over CC will be nice for Mir's resume. CC's win over Barry still makes him credible. This should be a fun fight, but I think Mir stops him sometime within the 15. Preferbly RD 1. Mir always comes extra focused coming off a loss.
mir has more than several ways to win. However he will probably try to "out kickbox" cro cop. that's how arrogant he is. he could easily take the fight to the ground and win, but he'll try to trade and get sent o the cemetery
I find it weird when people really believe he'll play another man's game. When he fought NOG he kept it standing and knocked him out. When he fought Kongo, he aknowledged Kongo had better kicks, but not better hands. He struck him with a huge left then choked him unconscious. He didn't nail Kongo then let him get back up, Mir took advantage of his better hand skills, then finished him in the area he is strongest. Mir can get the better of the hands with CC, that doesn't mean he's trying to "out kickbox" him. CC is a former K1 star, and Mir will utilize his biggest strength eventually. You already know what that is:good
damn D-kid i haven't seen you post here in a minute, i think the last time i saw you post often was right before Mir lost to Carwin. Mir being your boy and all i know you must of been pissed, **** i'm not even a Mir fan and i was shocked he lost that fight i thought Mir-Lesnar II was on the way. yea but back on topic this fight is gonna get Mir back into title contention, not only do i see Mir winning but i see him showcasing his ability to a high extent and he will finish cro cop in 2.
I wonder if the bulked up mir at 265 will come in or the 245 Mir. I suspect he'll be leaner for this fight considering Mirko's about 230ish.
I'm wondering about this as well. If the training clips in the vid are recent then it seems he is doing a fair bit of weight training and I personally thought he looked pretty big there.:think
Yeah man its been a while. I'm like one of the very few resident Mir fans on here so I'm pretty sure I would've gotten chewed up if I posted after the Carwin fight. That fight broke my heart man. I was in Radio City Music Hall to watch that fight on the big screen and there were a lot of Carwin fans there. There was a lot of friendly but heated trash talk going on between me and them. Then when Mir got caught they got the last laugh on me, it was awful:-( But that recent Carwin steroid scandal makes him suspect now. But yeah man, I see Mir getting a quality win over a still dangerous CC. This makes for a better fight than the Mir-NOG 2 original. Mir never lost 2 in a row, so I see him putting on a nice performance as well.
No that was just a promo. That was his preparation for Kongo or Carwin. I hear Mir is dropping some muscle. He's went back and forth on whether or not adding muscle was a good idea, and now feels being back around 250 to 245 might suit him well again. He felt he needed to bulk up because of the size of the HW's in the division right now, but after looking back at the Lesnar rematch and the loss to Carwin he realized he's getting put in bad positions. He even went on to say his Jiu-Jitsu in the Lesnar rematch was at white belt level. And people say he's arrogant:-(
Oh right. Thanks for clearing that up. I think him being his leaner self and not trying to bulk up to try and compete is better for him. He should try to play his game. He is never going to be able to out muscle monsters like Carwin and Lesnar so there's no point in trying imo.
