Could Margarito have been innocent?

Margarito has not changed his story.

At the initial hearing before the suspension Margarito stated to the commison members there was nothing wrong the knucklepads........
.......then the commision brought the knucklepads to Margarito for him to feel, this time with his hands and fingers and being able to try and bend them, and its is right then that he conceded that yeah it was'nt a legit knucklepad and that it may very well have done damage to Mosley had he worn them.

The man conceded that right there before the actual suspension.

At the last hearing for his reinstatement, what Margarito said was that he did'nt get the chance to test the wraps by hitting the pads with them.

When both hands are wrapped, most fighters get up and start to hit a trainers punching pads with them.
The wrapping session never reached that point to where Margarito was given a chance to test the wraps because Richardson had discovered the irregularity before both hands were wrapped.

 

No, he knew!

 

Why the hell did his trainer put them there in the first place? According to them, Mosley was going to be an easy fight. I feel that they both knew and they wanted to be the first to ever knock out Mosley.

 

He did change his story, he said he didn't feel anything different. As if he was conceding to that he tested the pad. Then now, he never had time.

Cry me a river. If Margo had been caught after the fight he would have ended up in a cage like Resto. That's what he deserved for threatening the lives of his opponents. Good thing Hitler wasn't Mexican or you would be out high stepping right now.

 

I listened to the hearing when Margarito described the wraps on his hand. I speak perfect spanish!

Margarito said that he did'nt notice any irregularity with the finished wrap on his right hand.
When that wrap on that hand was done, he had made several fists and outstretched his fingers to make certain it was'nt too tight.......he said the wrap felt fine, but that he did'nt get a chance to test the wraps by punching with them.
The left hand had not yet been fully wrapped when Richardson questioned the left hand knucklepad, thus Margarito did'nt test the wraps by punching at something with them.

Margarito also said that he may have noticed something not right had he punched at something with them......key words being "may have".....never did Margarito say he most definitely would have noticed something different.

Remember, we are talking about a knucklepad that some people who have actually felt them have said that they dont feel much different from a legal knucklepad.


The lone commision member who voted to relicense Margarito, also noted that there is a big difference in punching at your own hand than punching with force at an actual punching pad being held by someone.

When you make a fist and drive your close fists at your other open hand, you're really testing the wrap to see that its not too tight or too lose.
That commision member who has boxing experience, noted that you would have had to take a few good whacks at a real punching pad in order to expect to notice a difference in the knucklepad in question in Margarito's hand.
In saying this, you've got to remember that the knucklepad in question was described as firmer than normal but not actually hard........so many refuse to acknowleadge this very fact.
