Anyone heard about Adamek vs Brewster in November 4 being a possibilty?

Im sure even the corpse of Lamon will be able to land a flush shot or two, to test Adameks chin more than usual. Cause we all know Brewster went through hellacious shots from Wlad in 04 to get a ko win of his own, so I figure this stay busy fight would be pretty good for Adamek.

No, but I can't name anyone who can. Meanwhile Tomaz has proved me wrong before.

Yea Tommy beating Arreola was great for his heavyweight resume considering Nipples is one of the very few legit contenders at HW.

Either way it took just about everything Adamek had to scrape by Arreola, so even though he got better from that fight, him scrapping by either brother is a crazy shot in the dark if you were betting on him (Adamek). Which is pretty amazing considering Adamek is nothing close to a bum.

I hate to say this...but...I would be pretty interested in a Holyfield/Adamek fight right now.

Adamek is not ready for Vitali or Vlad.

Boente said that Dec. 11, Vlad will fight Adamek, Solis, Mormeck, or Tua. Haye will not fight Vlad and neither will Povetkin.

If Vitali grows old overnight and takes his opponent too lightly, Adamek would still need a lot of luck.

As much as I hate his style, the last time Vitali lost a ROUND was probably against Sanders.

Do you want to see Holyfield hurt? Botha, even as shot as he is now, was still able to win round after round before running out of gas. And combining Holyfield's chins and heart with Adamek (lack of) punch, I can see Holyfield getting prolonged beating here.

Nah. Holyfield might score a fight with Vitali, for ****'s sake. We know he's going on, regardless of concerns anyway. Wouldn't you rather see him fight Adamek and have a shot at eliminating himself from a Klitschko fight with far less danger than either Klitschko would seem to pose him? Besides, I think it could be very competitive and far from a sustained beating. I'm not at all certain Adamek would win or else it wouldn't interest me.

Well, you never know with Holyfield and his ups and downs, so I can't rule out your scenario completely. Still, despite some better performances (Valuev), Holyfield is not getting any younger. He was involved in many wars and next month he is 48, so I doubt even he can pull another upset.

I disagree here. If he can't get better than against Botha, the fight with either Klitschko will be so one-sided that it either ends with KO/TKO or the referee would have to stop it anyway. I do not know what is the thing Evander needs more in order to retire - another payday or heavy KO, but he'll get any of them more likely from Klitschko than Adamek. Besides, a relatively quick KO or referee stoppage from Klitschkos may be less damaging for his health than a war with Adamek.

Another thing is that if (following your scenario) he turns out competitive against Adamek and wins (or even loses close fight) there is a danger he would continue his quest for another couple of years. And that would be even worse for him.

The Valuev fight was Holyfield's last hurrah.

I WANT to believe that a fight with Adamek would be interesting, but lets not forget how much 47yo Holyfield struggled against fat, completely shot Botha. And Holyfield was BEHIND on the scorecards (2 of 3) at the time of stoppage.

I'm almost positive Holyfield would suffer a James Toney like beatdown if he were to fight Adamek.

I don't want to see such a living legend take another beating like that, although I'm sure he will end up gettiing murdered in another title shot.

Would you rather see Adamek-Maddalone or Adamek-Holyfield. I think that the fight against Holyfield would be much more interesting. I believe that Holyfield would be competetive in early rounds, as Adamek doesnt rush on him and wants to box for a few rounds.

Holyfield maybe is old and shot, but this how he fought Valuev I will be remmber for a long time. The speed and reflexes may have gone, but skills and power are still there.
