The only reason why Marg and Cotto was PPV and Shane and Cotto wasn't was b/c of the PR vs MX thing...and the fact that the FIGHT with Cotto and MARG has been HYPED for many years. Cotto and Shane have very similar PPV numbers.

:yep Bob is about that paper bro! Of course I'd like to see PAC and Paul or Martinez. Those are more challenging options with less drama given Margs situation with the wraps.

Nah...the numbers absolutely support Cotto and Shane being equal draws....Cotto b/c of his hispanic following and Shane b/c he's a US born fighter who is one of top figures in the sport. Floyd is a slightly bigger US PPV draw than Manny. But it's not a situation where its Like DLH where he had NO ONE close to his popularity.

I thought you just said shane was a bigger draw? shane is one of the top figures in the sport, but that does not equate to him being a draw. His fight on PPV with Mora will show this, and I can't recall a time where he was ever on a PPV as an A side. Cotto on the other hand sells out msg and has been an A side in a pay per view many times and has a large Hispanic following. Shane does not have a large following among black Americans.

After Mayweather went up to Kotelnik and said that he won, you think he's gonna fight Alexander?

It's not going to happen. Maybe the others you mentioned but not Alexander.

Khan's not, he's got Maidana to fry.

Nah.....Shane at one point was and maybe NOW Cotto may be a slightly more marketable fighter b/c of the Loss shane endured. But overall they are very high profile boxers....not DLH, PAC or May "high profile" but they are very well respected in terms of their follwing in this sport.

If Shane wasn't a PPV draw to begin with he wouldn't be fighting MORA on PPV. If Cotto faced a Yuri on PPV his numbers would have been as dismal as what Shane vs Mora will be.

Cotto has sold out MSG b/c he's a PR fighter with a lot of hype surrounding him as he progressed as a pro. Shane has a decent following among black americans but he's got a variety of fans where Cotto's following is 95% hispanic followers who make up a large portion of US PPV buys.

Charlie man sometimes I wonder about you. Some of the things you say get so crazy I don't know if you are serious or trolling.:good

Shane is nowhere near the draw Cotto is or was. Shane was always a hell of a competitor though. He couldn't even fill a stadium with cheat tickets in his home town.

No shane does not have a large following amongst black americans because he does not have a personality. You make references as to why cotto is a draw but you have never once named a fight that mosley had significant ppv sales in where he wasnt being carried by another fighter. Matter of fact many people question why Mosley's next fight is on PPV being that he does not bring in many fans and he is coming off a bad loss. I think you confuse shane being an elite fighter with him being an attraction, becuase that he is not.

They have similar numbers but Cotto headlined most of his PPV fights, Mosley hasn't been the main draw in any of his as far as I'm aware.

Like I said he's a very respectable dance partner, however Cotto having PPV's against the likes of Judah, Margarito and even Jennings in a double header shows that he was the draw in those fights.

Don't you wonder sometimes how Charlie figures the things he says?

Pac is the # PPV draw
Shane has a big Black American following

Man Charlie is using some "other" reasoning.
