    but i can see margarito beating cotto without cheating,forget about the wrapping,Margo hits hard,comes forward and keeps u running all night.Besides he can take a punch.I still dont know how he got beat up so badly by Mosley but took everything Williams gave him without blinking.He cant wrap his chin with plaster. either has or doesnt a good chin.If he goes 2 more rds against Williams,he wins that fight.
    But Chavez Jr is the result of a media propaganda,he is not the worse i've seen.BUt he is not at Margos level.He's been carefully matched against selected opponents and when things had gone south..he got saved by a draw.
    Cotto is a prime class boxer,tested against the best of his era-if he shows up only at 80% he can beat this kid.. unless he got old overnight or the fight has been fixed to continue the chavez legacy.
    and iam cuban,iam not taking sides in the PR- Mexican conflict.Sometimes i cheer for mexicans(love to see both marquez,angulo,el canelo) the same i enjoy cotto and lopez.

    I am rooting for Cotto but listen! This will not be an easy fight for Cotto....


    You have to break down in depth who Cotto is as a fighter, and who Chavez is as a fighter, and also go beyond that and realise the dimensions we are dealing with here when these two face off in the ring... and how these two match up with eachother.

    Yes.... Cotto is a class above, and his skills, while diminished, SHOULD lift him to a decision win. But make no mistake, if hes not at his best, doesnt take this fight seriously, or fights the wrong fight, Chavez WILL make him pay!


    I hope Cotto is taking this fight a lot more seriously then most of the people on ESB because if hes not, he will wind up with another loss.

    This reminds me of when Margarito was lined up to fight Cotto and everyone said Cotto was going to buzz through him.... when if you broke that fight down there was no way that was going to be an easy fight.

    Let me make it clear that i hope im completely wrong on this.... and that Cotto shows to be so much better and faster then Chavez that hes able to capture a devision, or even stop JR (aint happening)

    But i just dont see it when watching these twos recent performences and analysing them as fighters.... Cotto is without a doubt greater, but thats a simplistic way of calling fights.

    I get plenty of fights wrong however, and i hope this is one that im way way off in

    a question that has been haunting us forever now.....why did he look so great vs margo, but gassed out after 2 vs floyd when there were blood tests involved :huh

    Cotto is too skilled and technical to lose to Margarito. Its obvious Cotto lost to the plaster because he was winning the entire fight.

    He cheated easily, you watch the fight, cotto lands bigger harder punches, margarito lands these semi power shots and they rip cotto apart.

    Same thing goes for the two Cintron fights.

    Cotto's record should be 35-1
    Cintron's record should be 33-0-1 (He should of been awarded the UD versus the Williams fight)

    Its not fair to have on record in history (a credit to Antonio) that he beat two elite fighters our of era when he plastered his way to those victories.

    **** Margarito. and **** anyone who supports him.

    not really....margo looked the same, just that mosley hits a lot harder than cotto....and is quicker and we all know speed kills
