Hawaiian's mostly Filipino? :nono ....there maybe a lot of part Filipino-Hawaiians but they don't really consider themselves Filipino.

Hawaiians and people that consider themselves part-Hawaiians make up the most in HI. population...then comes Caucasians, Japanese, Filipinos, then the other Asian and Pacific Islanders.

Last 4 governors here were Caucasian, Filipino, Hawaiian and Japanese. Along with the 80 deg F we have year round, Hawaii don't really have racial tensions like they have in the mainland.

Are you using actual statistical fact or more anecdotes? Hawaii's population is 41% of Asian ancestry. Don't make it up as you go along.

Racial tensions are just traced to economic tensions. Hawaii has a much more robust safety net than the mainland. It also has a better climate. These things all translate into a better "minimum" quality of life versus that of the mainland.

Still? YDKSAHD - (Hawaiian Demographics) :yep

Blacks like a certain style,no more no less.Haven't you noticed all the blacks fight in a similar general style.Check it out.

    Sweet Pea Whitaker,Sugar Ray Leonard,Muhammad Ali,Roy Jones,Tito Trinidad,Joel Casamayor,James Toney,Floyd Mayweather,Thomas Hearns,Sugar Ray Robinson,Emanuel Augustus,Terry Norris,Andre Berto,Devon Alexander,Mark Johnson etc etc.The styles are "blood related".

The "African-American style" of boxing consist of craftiness, rhythm, pure textbook boxing, athleticism, super slick defense, counter punching, exceptional timing and a mastery of angles.

Of course they don't all look exactly the same but there is clearly a "blood relation" in the styles that come from this general "school" of boxing.

Of course there are the outliers.Tyson had all of these things and indeed was a pretty good "boxer" but ultimately his style is more "blood related" to Pacquiao's than Mayweather's,although Tyson's defense and leverage generation sets him miles apart from Pacquiao.

Lastly Mosley is not very popular at all with blacks, and mostly because his style is more mexican than black. However he has black fans too,but trust me,who blacks like will always have more to do with the school of fighting than anything else.Brawling just isn't seen as the supreme form of fighting in the squared circle.

The ultimate proof is the overwhelming similarity in the style of african-american boxers.

  5. There aren't really enough options on this poll, and some are still superfluous.

cant believe i bothered reading through all these posts!!!

This thread created an awful haven of disillusioned "racial ownership", whether one claiming "representation" of one's race, or even not! How can you generalize and speak of one's own race? That is so inconceivably egotistic, narrowminded, and cutting your own race short of its own innate diversity and cultural progression.

Good intentioned thread with bad "racial classificationing" outcome. I refuse to be thrown in a box and be classified and generalized to be loosely speculated with lousy stereotypic presumptions.

How do you classify a chinese, hawaiian, irish, german, spanish person? As an individual, as each one of us are. I dont wanna be grouped with "him" or "her", because of some loose race link. They may be a ****ing idiot!

Sorry, im just really tired of peeps trying to classify, generaliz, and categorize people/race to make this world STILL black & white for them. Only if they realized that we live in a grey age..... dont sell yourself short and throw yourself in a box - be yourself, not someone else, or what someone tells you what you ought to be, because of some presumptious stereotyping aggravated and prolonged by **** like.... That's naive Skilletscuz. The world is going into it's own corner and white people started it.That spreading civilization crap has rubbed 90% of the worlds population the wrong way and people know exactly how dangerous whites are. They started the league of nations, the league of democracies and Nato which is essentially the worldwide white army, regardless of the actual makeup of the soldiers which is overwhelmingly white. The "united kingdom"'s queen victoria has states cities and waterfall named after her all over the world(the irish want no part of this "united kingdom" by the way but are being militarily forced to go along and are fighting a guerilla war against it as we speak). Now there is an EU and an AU,the organization of islamic states, the organization of the america's,soon there will be a latin american block and their is also an asian block known as ASEA.These bigger organization are nearly purely racial blocks.Asian in the larger asian sense, the white block, the african block which includes arabs but is really about blacks and the arabs have the arab league which has more countries in northern africa than the middle east. You know,I think I'm rambling.

The point is that the world is not post racial but fully racially aware and in general everyone is a little upset with the whites (and a little racist towards the blacks) because the whites have been doing evil for the last 500 years. Before that, there were no white people or black people or asian people.Germans felt no comraderie with italians and east africans were not in any particular allegiance with west africans or central or southern africans. But white people came out of the dark ages by plunging the rest of the world into their own dark ages, while they benefitted from sowing confusion and hatred and spreading disease and poverty, which didn't exist until people met whites who said you are poor and need jesus, hachoo, excuse that would ya.

Now china is making power moves and latin american countries almost have at least some streak of anti american and anti european sentiment, which is to say anti white sentiment.Arabs dislike whites, blacks will never forgive or forget,Japan seems docile but if I dropped two nukes on a country I would never take my eye off of them.I'm rambling again.Look the world isn't black and white but it also isn't gray.Race and racial issues are extremely real. But if you live in a country like Japan or China which are hegemons, then you may be mislead in your outlook by your daily human contact.Palestinans(arabs) hate israeli's(white europeans) and Zimbabweans can't stand europeans. But in the immortal words of Rodney King,"Can't we all just get along".

By the way, that japanese chick in your avi is smoking hot with those tig ol' bitties. And she knows it!

What I noticed is that pac has lots of asian fans, not just the pinoy pride boys. The SouthEast asian teenie boppers. cambodians, laotians, etc

Yeah, and that's wonderful, but they should learn about boxing or at least learn about Bob Arum. They are being told that Pacq is more skilled than he is.The let down could be monumental if they don't learn that he has a number of weaknesses.

Pacq has fans worldwide, including me.But I am aware of his abilities and where they fit along the spectrum. They tend to talk like he is undefeated and undefeatable.Meanwhile Singsurat,Marquez and Morales are all calling him out right now but somehow can't get much press about it.

Who wants to see those fights with Pacquiao? Pac is calling out Floyd. But Floyd is vacationing until Pac officially signs another fight. That is what is getting press... Floyd's cowardice.
