Is their any Middle Weight you think has or had a good enough chin to take a flush shot from Jackson that they didn't see coming???

Marvin Hagler and Jake LaMotta...off the top of my head.

But if you're talking current middleweights...no idea.

Im talking any Middle Weight you can think of. Past or Present.

Marvin Hagler was also the first guy who came to my mind. He took that Hearns right hand in the first round...he was hurt bad but im sure that shot would have knocked any one else out cold.

As have been enumerated in this thread, there are probably about a dozen historically well-known middleweights and maybe even a few that we don't know about (great chins aren't always attached to great/notable fighters, after all).

    The kid could whack, though.

Take it and stay on their feet? I doubt it. It would take someone with a rubber chin.

I like this list. I always remember the left hook Dick Tiger took from Bob Foster. He didn't see it coming and caught it right on the jaw. Lights out. Bob Foster had a tremendous punch but Tiger could be knocked out .

People think of certain fighters as "unknockoutable", I'm not really sure if they necessarily are given the right circumstances. I mean when you look at guys with terrific chins who have never been stopped, let's look at Hagler and Toney, well neither of them had poor defenses either. If one of them came coming forward, dropping their hands, and didn't see the punch coming, who knows really?

In the last three rounds in the 6th Robinson fight, LaMotta was a ****ing sitting duck. Bomb after bomb after bomb. He was supposed to be weight-drained too. How the hell did he stay on his feet?

If there's one guy I'd put my money on to take a flush right hand bomb from Jackson, that he doesn't see coming, and walks into the shot, it'd be LaMotta.

Hearns didn't get full extension on the right hand that stunned Hagler. The Cuevas, Shuler, and Duran knockouts for instance, were right hands at distance for Hearns.

Thread Stealer, Man you remember Shuler, I thought I was the only one. I didn't get to see the fight with Hearn but I was a fan and it broke my heart. Then he died in a Motorcycle crash. I was hoping he would go on to great things.

Hagler and Toney are the ones which spring to mind.
