    Would someone replace an athlete in the Tour De France, if they fell off a moutain..?

    The Super Six is ****, has been ****, and will always be aload of ****.

    Are they going to make the next set of fights the semi-finals now? That seems the most logical idea.

    I was going to be all cynical and say Kessler doesn't fancy Ward again later in the tourney and pulled out,With the title. But he's vacated so their goes that theory...

    Rob's idea of having Froch/Abraham and Ward/Dirrell as the semis is brilliant! Bute is not going to replace Kessler and Green is wank.

    Looks like same night won't happen.

    Froch vs Abraham on October 2nd for the vacant WBC title
    Ward vs Dirrell in late October for the WBA title.

    Winners fight a unification and super six final Feburary next year in Vegas or MSG

    my worry with this is that some of the promoters will see it as a chance to break the tournement.

    Dirrell doesn't have to fight Ward.
    Ward can go and get a big HBO deal.
    Abraham can do a fight in Germany.

    As Rob said, they may as well drop Green, and the next fights up are the semis.

    Aren't Ward and Dirrell having cold feet though?

    Wouldn't surprise if this was pulled unfortunately.

    Another option could be to split Ward and Dirrell up to sweeten them and keep them involved.

    Go for quarter finals, and seed them, which would add no additional fights. something like.

    Ward (1) vs J Taylor (8
    Abraham (2) vs Bika (7)
    Froch (3) vs Bute (6)
    Dirrell (4) vs Green (5)

    Not likely I know, but it would capture the imagination again and give J Taylor a route back.

    Also two fights in America, two in Europe all on the same night.

    They need to work hard to make a success out of this now.

    Hopefully not, I think Showtime will want to grab hold of whatevers left, but try and wrap it up quickly by doing your idea of turning the next fights into Semi's. Try and make some big money before it collapses.

    +1 very true. Eye injuries still suck pretty bad though. all it takes is another punch and the problem could re occur straight away.
