With the new boxing season about to commence I decided to swallow the bitter pill and install Sky Sports again. I had a look at BT Vision as I considered a tv, broadband and telephone bundle - but it was a crap deal - especially if you want unlimited broadband.

So, I called Sky this evening just to order the Sports Package and they offered me 6 months half price - so I am getting all the Sky Sports channels and 5 entertainment mixes for 21.50 for 6 months - very pleased with that.

I was half-tempted to take out ESPN for the Toney fight but **** that - they are looking to hook me into a year contract and the *******s are still not showing live boxing at a decent hour.

Anyone else got a good deal on their sports package?

It is funny you said that because that is what I thought - but the girl that I was talking to at Sky was telling me that it is one year. I might look into it further as I had heard that you can get three months free and if you didnt want it then you can cancel the **** with one month notice.

Sky - spreading misinformation about ESPN:lol:

I thought BT Vision is a bundle of tv, broadband and phone? If so, what is the total that you are paying?

Well I say I'm paying £11.99, still living at home with my Mam so I'm only paying £11.99.

They'll repeat on 1 and 2 anyway, admittedly at the ungodly hour of 0200.

You can get multiroom without paying extra as long as Sky is wired to each room and you buy one of those 'Magic eyes' (which can be bought online for about £3)....

As far as I know you just need a lead run into your additional room from the sky dish and then you need a Magic Eye in the room that enables you to change channel without affecting the other room.....

    I'm with Virgin Media.

Pay £63 for phone rental plus weekend calls, 10MB broadband and my TV. Get all channels (SS1-4, SSN, ESPN) except Sky Movies, porn and the likes of MUTV.

Feel like I pay slightly over the odds because I used to get that lot for £52.
