Exactly, I respect Kessler as a fighter...not his biggest fan but I honestly dont think he'll pull a stunt like this if it wasnt legit.

    Excactly.

Its such a shame for Mikkel and the super six. I think that Dirrell, Ward and Kessler are the best at 168. Maybe Mikkel will come back stronger - his well known precision has been gone since fighting Sartison.

The good news is that he will fight the super six winner.

like this idea, i loved the super 6 but having anyone come in a take Kessler's 2 points for beating Froch would be a joke.

Kessler may have well pulled out prematurely. He and I both knew he didn't have a chance in hell of winning the tournament.
Too bad Green didn't get the opportunity to KO the Viking sucker.

If they choose to move backwards and take an easy fight when the SS is over, Kessler would be an easy win for the tournament winner, which of course, will not be Froch.

Everybody thought the Super Six thing wouldn't even happen - and it seemed like that was the biggest hurdle, just getting all the promoters to sign on the dotted line and agree to make some sacrifices on terms like purses, locations, titles being on the line, and the like.

They DID all that - amazingly - and then we all just took for granted that the six original boxers involved would be in it to win it until eliminated. In everybody's initial skepticism towards the tournament even materializing in the first place, nobody seemed to factor in the idea of contestants making early exits.

Now a THIRD of the contestants have done just that. The two I liked the most, too! :patsch

Making this a "Super Five" and allowing Green any more high-profile fights after his showing against Ward would be a farce.

Just ****ing go ahead with semifinals between Ward, Dirrell, Abraham and Froch. Alternately, dissolve the whole ****ing thing. It doesn't even matter now, as it's deviated so far from the original blueprint.

    GOD DAMN IT.

Oh, make no ****ing mistake - a healthy Kessler (even the sloppy version that fought Froch) rakes Allan Green over the coals ten times out of ten. Don't get it twisted and start acting like Green scared him out of the tournament after that pathetic last performance.

At least Kessler cited something this time when he pulled out of a fight.

The last time he did this, it was against Miranda, and he had no reason.

Most speculated that he was very scared...in fact terrified.

No doubt after his **** poor showing in the SS he has his doubts about being CAPABLE of beating Green.
Green is hungry and Kessler is certainly no Andre Ward. Green would have laid Kessler out flat, and Kessler knows it.
Oops, time to go get fitted for a new pair of glasses. Yeah, that's the ticket out!

Kessler was scared plain and simple.
