You're all probably sick of me bringing him up but...

1962 - Freddie Gilroy (North Belfast) Vs Johnny Caldwell (West Belfast) The winner was supposedly rumored to get a crack at Eder Jofre.

But on Midweek Sport Special, they only showed the first five rounds (McCrory getting licked) and then the last round! I do not think I have ever seen the rounds in which McCrory Siza-d the advantage!;)

    Thanks to that programme, I got to see the Nelson's, Paez's, Whitaker's, McGirt's, Taylor's, Lopez's and Brown's fight.

They also showed a lot of the Big Fight Undercards. Where you could actually start making your own judgements on fighters you had only read about in magazines.

I caught a lot of Chitalada and Galaxy fights on ITV. IIRC their manager was from Liverpool and thats how the UK TV deal got done.

I'm always looking for full domestic fight cards, so if you're ever wanting to trade (although I don't have a massive collection) just let me know... ;)

my younger brother has just bought a video to dvd machine and i have just managed to get 2 disc's done one is the nelson vs mcdonnell fight card that was shown on screenspoert on the undercard was eubank vs melfah and a very early lennox lewis fight against melvyn epps in which epps is dq for bugger all not a great undercard as i think another ends in a first round cuts stoppage , it should take me a year to transfer them all
