    Cleverly is a Warren fighter.

They only ever get rated by the WBC by accident, Paul Smith will be scrubbed soon...... as perhaps will Macklin.

Cleverly isn't rated because he's about to fight in a WBO eliminator.

Take a look at their website: at the bottom Cleverly is listed as 'Not available' because of this.

Ridiculous...But that's the way they all operate, I think?

Tony Oakey had a decent ranking with them due to a history of winning British and Commonwealth titles which the WBC like and McIntosh KO'd him in 2 rounds.

But Cleverly beat McIntosh so he should be well rated. Cleverly may be fighting a WBO eliminator but the IBF still rate him. Just looking at light-heavy rankings across the board now and they are a shambles. Sanctioning bodies do my tits in.

So don't bother reading them. Follow an independent rankings like the Ring or Eastside's.

That's because he holds the WBA.

Nice in theory but the sanctioning bodies are the ones who decide who gets a title shot. Like them or not, we have to deal with them and their rankings affect the fights that we get to see.
