i agree apart from tarver/pascal. yes hopkins did move up in weight, but i just get the feeling something wasnt right with tarver that night.

great win for b-hop dont get me wrong.

but you know tarver wasnt a young prime champ coming off a win over a p4p rated star

I voted top 3, although it's highly questionable if Pascal would be among the 3 best fighters he's fought. But just the fact that he'd be winning back the lightheavyweight title at age 45 from a young fighter in his prime, plus the fact that BHop didn't exactly look like a million bucks in his last 2 fights would make it a pretty fenomenal accomplishment to me.

If he dominates, I'd put it at 4 behind Tito, Tarver and Pavlik.

If he somehow wins, I doubt he could dominate. Pascal is very fast and powerful.

Individually he aint no better than the fighters. but contextually considering his age and recent performance, a victory would be great

    1. Felix Trinidad
    2. Antonio Tarver
    3. Glen Johnson
    4. Oscar De La Hoya
    5. Kelly Pavlik

*Just in case you were wondering

    *6. John David Jackson
    *7. Winky Wright

Jean Pascal would replace Kelly Pavlik or John David Jackson for the 5th or 6th spot.

    Top 5 wins, IMO
(A Win over Pascal would be huge in '10)

    1. Antonio Tarver
    2. Insert: Jean Pascal
    3. Glen Johnson
    4. Kelly Pavlik
    5. Ronald Wright

    Actually I'm changing my order

    1. Trinidad
    2. Tarver
    3. Johnson
    4. John David Jackson
    5. Pavlik
    6. Oscar
    7. Wright

Pascal would be in the 5th spot, because he's pretty much a natural light heavy.

Until Pascal builds up his resume more he won't take over Jackson.

ye im not saying it is clearcut that he should be #2, if that was the case it wouldnt be worth starting a thread on it.

i dont really see how people can rate the winky victory over pascal tho. i mean obviously p4p winky then was a better fighter than pascal now. but contextually, in his first fight at that weight against the much bigger hopkins, i dont think the victory is as significant as a pascal today would be.

i think the pascal victory should definitely be top 5. it is debatable as to whether it is above pavlik or tarver. or both in my book. all 3 individually are very good wins, but you can pick holes in the tarver and pavlik wins, i dont think any can be picked in a pascal win.

You'll have to wait for the fight to happen. I thought Hopkins was going to finish RJJ, but it turned into a crapfest. I honestly have little idea of which BHop we'll see if the fight comes off.

he would get more props if he beats dawson, than pascal. Its all about styles plus dawson is still the bigger name with a better resume
