I was just browsing through Winky Wrights record on boxrec and I came across a loss to a guy called Harry Simon. I dont remember him or know him and I looked on his record (here it is if you want : http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=5625&cat=boxer )

He has a win over Winky all the way back in 98, won the WBO title , seemed to be going good then didnt box from 2002 untill 07, then again he didnt box till this year. Who is this guy :think

This guy had a lot of talent and could have gone on to do great things IMO. If I remember correctly he went to jail for getting in a car accident that got some people killed in his native Namibia. Don't really know when he got out or what happened to his career. Can anybody fill in the blanks?

Simon did have some good skills.

He sustained some long term injuries from the accident, in addition to jail time. When he got out he started training with Freddy Roach about three or so years ago but nothing ever happenend in terms of fights. Guess he just lost it, in terms of being an aggressive fighter. Today he'd be too old and far gone.

Agreed to that. He wouldn't amount to much today.
