    showing some class with your opening statement :nono roumer has it that willie may get the shot before paulie and if he does best wishes to him but lets not forget moludrotto, and guigg, so if either of our irish fighters get the shot lets all show 100% support, and at the press conference paulie said prizefighter was beneath him that he was at at championship level ie;

    rounders and i didnt hear him say anything negative about willie

    If Paulie gets the shot, I'll support him all the way. I'm just saying he has no right to get pissy if Casey gets the nod as Casey is more deserving of it.

    I wasn't at the press conference but someone here said Hyland felt Casey was beneath him or something to that effect.

    Either way, one of them is gonna be fighting for a EBU title, which is great for us fans.

    Simple way to sort it is Hyland -v- Casey in a final eliminator. Apparently Hyland wanted to charge a huge fee for an Irish title shot for Casey though. Maybe he does think Casey isn't on his level. If he does think that then he is spectacularly wrong. Also, if he was highballing on the fee for an Irish title shot I'd love to know why.

    Bit of a smart arse headline here?
    I presume Sweeney is a traveller (open to correction) but it's not mentioned in the piece so no need to stick it in the headline.

    Well, as the piece says: "the only two blemishes on his 11-fight record (a stoppage loss and a draw) have come when fighting on away territory, in Mexico and America respectively"

    I guess that's the reason they call him a bad traveller, unfair or no... Although fair point, if he were a traveller (no idea either), such a headline would be a big :nono

    Thanks Ardy.
    I wonder could Hamish risk putting Perez on the Prize fighter show! great exposure and you would have to count him in with a real chance.
    could Rogan do it all over again?

    As for Fitzgeral calling out Duddy I'd love to see it but I just can't see Duddy taking that fight here in Ireland after headlining a ppv! hope I'm proved wrong.

    do you think burnett will be challenging barnes at 49kg or moving up to compete with gerraety, conlon and dalton... the quality at 49kg and 52kg will be something else:deal

    Nah, I cant speak for the author but I read the piece and it seems that it refers to Sweeney's losses on the road rather than anything else....which is fair enough:good

    the headline is quiet clearly a double entendre

    and who said the writer came up with the headline? Im pretty sure mister flexen may have thought it was better than Sweeney spars Klitschko
