Right, someone just mentioned the Naz - Kelley fight so i simply had to re-watch it (brilliant fight which doesnt get the credit it deserves IMO). And it got me thinking, what if instead of fighting Marco Antonio Barerra, Naseem chooses to fight El Terrible instead. How does this 1 play out?

Does Morales outclass Naz the way MAB did? Or is Naz's awkward style too much for Erik.

Pushed, i'd have to say Morales, but I wouldnt lay my house on it.

    Thoughts?

I'd take Morales on points, possibly a late stoppage. Saying that, I'm not certain he'd take it as easily as Barrera because he likes to trade.

Naz has a good chin so i can see him suriving 12 rounds but would lose by a wide UD.

 Yes cheeky slag ive watched it.

Erik likes to trade whereas Barrera is a lot smarter. Naz had phenomenal power in both hands and could cause Erik trouble if they went to war. Im not sayin Naz wins, but it would have been a lot closer than people imagine IMO.

I think Morales would've beaten the crap out of him, it would have been a better fight than the Barrera fight-styles and all that but it would only have ever happened after Hamed went off on his own and diminished as a fighter. That's an important consideration.
Both at their best I think it would be a really good fight but still with Morales winning.

Your right now that I think about it, I remember in the Post-Fight Interview Barrera stated that he did not trade with him, because that is where most of the his last opponents would get laid out, on that big straight left Naz was good for. While I think it probably would have been a closer fight if Erik would trade with him, I still see it a pretty wide UD for Morales.

The Naz that fought Barrera = A Morales points win

The Naz that fought Steve Robinson = A tear-up of epic proportions. Not sure who would win.

Fear to say this prob would have ended up FOTY haha!

Naz had somuch power in both hands, there's no guarentee Morales would have survive even if he is game as they come

Well the first time Barrera fought an elite he lost too (although most people think he won), the second time Morales fought an elite he lost (although most people think he won).
