Recent pics about the Sam Peter training camp has been released. I must say Peter does not look in impressive shape at all.I don't know if he had enough time to prepare or if he is just lazy.

Peter can't afford to go in the ring at about 250-260 pound. He has to be at 235-245 to have a realistic chance. It seems that another boring ass Klit fight is waiting for us against a fat opponent.

Check these pics, disappointing in my opinion.

Agreed, boxing is a sport where there is no shortcuts, no team mate to bring in the help if you slack off......If you don't train and condition properly it will show when you step in the ring............Peter was probably in better shape when he fought him the first time......

I don't agree. I think he is carrying the weight a lot better. He looks very strong in the upper body. He is always going to have a bit of a gut, but he doesn't look sloppy to me. And he still has some time before the fight to lose a few more pounds.

this is funny because the article on ESB's home page talks about how good of shape he's in.

Yeah, it's not a bodybuilding contest. It depends on how Peter is carrying the weight he has. And he looks strong to me. He's never going to be sporting a six-pack, if that's what some people want.

What is up with that pad work? With his grill out like that he is going to get some leather put on it.

This crap is just sad. I get mad at Chris Arreola, but honestly he doesn't really have the body type for HW boxing. If he trained right CA would probably be a CW or LHW.

Sam Peter has all the physicality for it and just chooses to not push his talent to the max. He was so promising too. Oh well.

peter doesn't really have the skillset to beat wlad, even if he is in great shape, it's just a big gulf in class.

solis/povetkin/boystov are the real tragedies, inactivity and fast food slowly kill the heavyweights :-(

Boxing? No. However if he was in top condition and made the fight ugly and physically taxing? IMHO he could win it. Rough him up rushing in often. Lie back and wait and explode throwing bombs. For all of his skill I think Wlad can be broken mentally. Swarming, ha!

Vladimir? I don't think he will ever beat. He is has the skills AND mental toughness. Maybe, just maybe, a 100% fit Peter could make Vlad's physical body betray him, but in a straight up fight? I see no winning strategy even for a fit Peter.

Yes those too are sad stories. I think it is a story repeated at HW far too often.

The belly of Peter seriously reminds me of those huge HGH guts of many professional body builders. No natural athlete would have a huge muscular belly like that. He looks completely unnatural for an athlete.

You're expecting Sam Peter to have the gray matter to devise and implement a gameplan that at least requires him to pick and choose his spots to slug in. I don't think he's capable of even that. I don't think Wlad is mentally weak. In all 3 of his KO losses he got to he feet. He clearly has the work ethic and will to win of a champion, he has demonstrated that through his reinvention as a fighter after those losses imo...

    I don't think so.

I have met many guys like that. They are usually the guys who end up as running backs in the NFL. Insane amounts of short twitch muscle, can't do slow go cardio well, and as soon as they are inactive? Dead of a heart attack at 50. Strange genetic gift/curse scenario.

My guess is that Peter is of that type. If he trains explosively he will be great. Looks like he is training "slow" and not eating right (lower carbs).

If Peter comes in under 240, then he has a good shot and his stamina will be there. But, I have to agree he looks like he needs to lose a few more pounds.
