As we call it in the hood, Soufeas (southeast)LOL is the most dangerous part of D.C. I also forgot about my boy Mitchell. He never was the same after injuring his knee against Zoo. He has a R&B band, and he was trying to get me to play trombone in it like 4 years ago. He told me before he fought Mayweather that he didn't have the passion anymore, just looking for a big paycheck.

Well it looks like Chop is finally gonna get another shot (probably his last) at an abc belt in Maidana next month, I didn't see this coming.

Hopefully Chop can keep it competitve and earn a few $ in the process.

If chop does something like score a ko that would have to be up there for upset of the year.

I hear "chop" is in good shape, hopefully he gives everything he has left next month.

I think he's gonna do better than alot of people think.

I always rooted for Chop Chop for some weird reason. Not sure what caused him to hit the wall. Some people age differently and it looks like one day he couldnt compete on the top level everytime out. Kind of remind me a little of RJJ now. Some fights he looks good still, some fights he's just plain bad.

If he even knocks Maidana down en route to a loss (VERY possible), I'll be thrilled for him.

If he wins, there will be a full-on happy dance. :bananamaniac

He used to, but when he went on his crazy losing streak, he pretty much lost to anyone that have almost any boxing ability and stamina. Altough he rarely gets ko'd still.

I feel you, I never knew exactly why I always rooted for him either :huh

Everytime I watched him (before the crazy losing streak) he always seemed to give a honest effort even in losing, mixed with the name Chop Chop he kind just grew on me .

The Maidana fight is just over 48 hours away (and will be aired on Argentinan TV but not in the US).

Everybody think happy thoughts for Chop Chop! Send good mojo his way!

I always find myself rooting for Chop Chop if hes not fighting a fighter im particularly fond of (Cotto, Judah) and while i would normally root for him this weekend, i would like to see Maidana keep the momentum he has as it makes for a much more interesting division.

Id like to see Chop Chop put in a good performence, make it interesting at time, and be able to leave the ring under his own two feet and being proud of himself. But id like to see Maidana get the W, for the divisions sake, if that makes sense.

However, i too was wondering wtf was going on, and figured Chop to be completely shot, due to his recent apparent slide as a fighter.

I guess we will see just where he is at officially when he fights Maidana. Kinda feel bad for him because seems like hes always being fed to someone, but hey, one has to look at those as chances and he gets plenty of them. After Maidana i hope he can continue to beat the C level guys, i hate seeing him lose to guys he would have probably beat a few years ago.
