Last time around Texas governor didn't let it happen so I'll wait and see. Since elections are in November, he may just let it happen as it will bring in a ton of money.

    Typical crooked commission.

I bet they will once again decide that there is no need to drug test.

Just to point out some BS in the artice, it states, "While some states may still have reluctance in signing boxing’s modern day pariah,

Bull ****!!! This is the same State that would not grant Tyson a license, and also the same State that didn't allow Margarito to fight on the Pac/Clottey undercard.

"I can now confirm to you that Carson Jones fight with Margarito has been cancelled due to Margarito being unable to obtain a license in Texas."

Do you have a source for Texas ever offering Tyson a chance to come back? I ask because his licensed was denied in 2002 when he was trying to get a license to fight Lewis. He only fought like 3 times after that before retiring in 2005.

And that doesn't change the fact that they wouldn't allow Margarito to fight there just 5 month's ago. Not a lot has changed since then, except California denying him (Margarito) a license.

I do not have the source, But I know there was something that came up after the Lewis fight, while they were looking for a place to fight Clifford Eitienne, and from what I recall Texas offered him to fight there, because of his sportsman ship like performance in his loss to Lennox.

He did take that beating well . He was all hugging on Lewis talking about how much he loved him.

I think if texas does grant the license, it's just politics. The money brought in will be good for an election year.
