Marvin hagler vs homas hearns-the war part 1

This fight is always entertaining no matter how much I watch it.

nope, but it's a good example of a couple of guys with balls the size of bowling balls.

 

:gooddamn straight. however, as much as i hate to say it (and as much as i'll deservedly get **** on as a result) i like it less and less each time i see it. i think it's brilliant and one of the best rounds i've seen but to my dying days gatti-ward round 9, caveman lee-locicero round 5 or mancini vs frias were better

 

now what would have happened if tommy didn't get that massage?

 

I think more what would have happened had he not broken his right hand. Had he been able to land his right hand with full strength.

 

Mancini/Frias was good but not better than Hagler/Hearns. That fight was more Mancini dominating, regardless of Arturo rocking Ray. Gatti/Ward is not the quality of Hagler/Hearns. Hagler/Hearns were the two best guys in boxing fighting a way. Sort of like Manny and Mayweather going tops. Doesn't happen too often and probably will not again, not this way.

 

They just don't make them like that anymore........

 

The first round seemed like it was Ten minutes long, because the action heated up so fast.

 

gatti/ward are nowhere NEAR hagler/hearns in quality of fighters but in terms of rounds? round 9 competes with anything hagler/hearns put together. mancini/frias was brilliant but you have a good point. did you watch the caveman fight though? AWESOME

 

That was like Hearns destroying Duran,although there was more action in the Haglar v Hearns fight.

 

That Caveman Lee - Locicero fight is what I call savage. Awesome display of grit. Hagler-Hearns is just the ultimate showdown between 2 of the best in the sport giving people their moneys worth in a short period of time.
