honestly, its a best bang for your buck situation for Bob Arum. He gets to re-secure/renew relations w/ Jerry Jones and the Texas Stadium. Though they cant fight in Nevada or California, Margarito should have a strong fan showing there, that and being that much closer to Tijuana. If he is able to get a strong fill in the stadium, he can somewhat redeem himself for the Pacquiao/Clottey attendance, and possibly create his own consistent venue location he can literally call as "his own"....
This fight is complete and utter BS and I've stated that countless times, and my stance will remain the same. I personally don't care that Margarito is Mexican or that he beat Cotto. So don't go confusing the issue. The problem I have here is that Margarito was caught cheating with loaded gloves. Whether he knew or didn't know is not the point. He was caught, but is now instantly being rewarded with a title shot the moment he was "Re-instated" . Not to mention earning his biggest payday of his career. Where is the moral integrity for the sport of boxing? That is a farce of epic proportions. Pac isn't off the hook either. Neither fighter has had to prove himself at this weight class and they just jump right into a title fight....WTF? This is just wrong. I dont care if you're a ***** or a *******, if your a true fan of boxing this is grossly unfair to the fighters laboring bout after bout to get a title shot. and these two just waltz in and fight for the title. New York, Vegas, nor California were going to grant AM a license to fight. Texas let Valero fight, so why wouldn't they allow Margarito lol...
